SIAP but have they released the original 911 call?

Aware of the food truck, etc. I was just curious where the other 2 were. Could they have come into contact with a bad seed and they were actually the targets. Also, why are police looking for footage between 3 and 6 am? Seems like they'd want something as well when they all arrived home.

No but they said it came from one of the roommates' phones but they won't say who made it. Ethan's mom said he had plans with a friend that day so it may have been him?

As I said before I don't know they may have already been home they may have been somewhere else and come home after the murders or before them. Their area was downstairs, it was completely disconnected from where the murders took place.

They've cleared the two roommates, the person who gave the girls a ride home and the guy they were talking to in the food truck video. Don't believe Kaylee's ex-boyfriend is involved.

Not saying who called 911 but it was from survivor's phone. Other friends had arrived at house so it sounds like one of them called. Don't believe caller is killer.

They believe this was a targeted attack.

They were out separately and got home around 1am.

I think we all want to believe it was a person with a plan, a vile and evil plan, but a plan. And using technology and experience law enforcement can and will catch them. But what if this is just a one off, random event, and because of this this person won't be caught? Alot of true crime stories that aren't solved, just seem completely violent and random with seemingly no purpose or reason.

This is real life, not a TV show and I hope this person or persons is caught. But either information is being withheld, or the police truly don't have any idea how this happened, there's too many obvious questions and I'll be honest unbelievable details.

Quote:

While detectives continue piecing together details involving a quadruple murder in Moscow, Idaho on November 13, individuals online have brought up a similar stabbing case that took place in 2021 in Marion County, Oregon. Both cases involved an unknown attacker entering the victims household and stabbing them while they slept.

Quote:

Authorities in Marion County, Oregon have hit a dead end in their investigation into the August 13, 2021 homicide case wherein an unknown masked assailant entered a sleeping couple's home and attacked them at 3:00 AM.
The husband, Travis Richard Juetten, 26, was pronounced dead at his home, while his wife, Jamilyn Rebekah Juetten, survived after being stabbed 19 times.

Quote:

Striking similarities in both incidents have sparked the curiosity of online sleuths, such as, both incidents taking place in rural areas, both incidents taking place in the early hours of the morning, and both incidents involving victims who were attacked while sleeping in their homes.

Below is a map showing the locations of both incidents. On the right is the location of the Moscow, Idaho murder scene where 4 University of Idaho students were murdered. On the left is the location of the Marion County, Oregon incident where both victims were stabbed as they slept.

Possible connection to a similar murder in Oregon? If true then this has to be a serial killer.

Going to be really really hard to catch the guy if he is specifically choosing rural areas like this and if he is able to get in and out without anyone noticing.

Interesting. Serial killers have quite a tough task these days with cameras everywhere. Rural areas are honestly the only feasible hunting grounds as even mid sized cities have stoplight cameras galore etc. I think the days of staying in one area and getting away with it are over. I mean, even 8 hours away and separate states, people are already trying to connect dots. The serial killer angle to me makes a lot more sense, rather than trying to picture how a scorned or jealous ex could go so far beyond just taking down his ex to savagely murder 3 other people.

Smart phones also make serial killing harder. They can track everywhere a killer has been while the phone was ont heir person.

Yep, back to paper maps and old cars if you're a modern day serial killer

The deaths supposedly happened from 2:00 am to 4:00 am.

That's part of the problem I had with blood seen outside on the wall as if it pooled and then impacted some joint. If they were sleeping, it would seem the mattress, boxspring, and bedding could soak up a lot of it. Depending on how many times stabbed and depth, the blood would naturally pool at the bottom of the body unless there was a puncture (or multiple) all the way through.

Would the killer have locked the door behind him so they were banging on it trying to wake the person up? It is very odd.

The supposed blood on the slab below wall has been reported to be heating oil.

As for stabbing attacks there should be blood everywhere. On every wall and even ceiling. Killer would have it all over him and tracked it up n down stairs and all the way out the egress. If in a car now all over the drivers seat. Not easy to hide nor easy to clean up. This makes the 911 call very odd and its possible the police are not providing what was actually said either to protect the investigation or protect the victims families privacy.

Heating oil. That is way better than the initial sketchy reports. Also, an early interview with one of the fathers said there were defensive wounds on one of the girls, forget which one was his daughter so that is even more violent struggle as you point out.

I think I said this before, but this isn't the movies where a stab wound makes people die immediately. This has to be thrashing, flailing chaos. Complete mess. Lots of details are still under wraps.

Moscow Idaho has a population of slightly less than 26,000. Likely a pretty small police force, county authorities combined would still be a small force. And that sounds like the type of crime scene they have never seen before.

I have serious doubts this was a lone killer.

Pullman Washington where Washington state is right across the border like 8 miles away
Very interesting fact...I never knew those 2 schools were so close to each other.

heating oil....so maybe this was a much cleaner case than we'd all been thinking. If killer comes in and simply slits the throats of passed out drunken college kids, there wouldn't be nearly as much blood spatter, etc. aside from the girl that put up a fight

I'm still so confused on the discovery of the bodies the next morning as they seemed to think they were possibly just passed out. even with slit throats, it would be obvious. Maybe it was just the fact that they weren't opening their doors (maybe killer locked on way out per another poster)...

That was the father of the girl who had the boyfriend sleeping over. My assumption is she was awoken when the killer murdered the boy thus giving her a slight opportunity to fight back where as the other girls were alone and just murdered in their sleep.

It doesn't take much to bleed out if a major artery is cut, the fighting would only last so long. But also it was likely pretty dark, was the killer somewhat familiar with the layout of the house and bedrooms? Just heard an update and to think there is no security footage, no sketch, nothing. Really perfect circumstances for the killer.

why are people placing so much emphasis on the roommates? When I had roommates, it wouldn't be unheard of to let them sleep half a day, especially after a night out drinking, if they had their rooms shut/locked before I dare thought to disturb them.

Damn. Thats a miracle. Nineteen times and hit nothing vital enough to kill her. Holy crap.

We used heating oil for years up here in Oregon. The tank holding the oil is always outside. When I thought I was getting low, I had to check the level of the oil in the tank with a rod lowered to the bottom off the tank. Not once did the color of the oil resemble blood like I saw in the photo of that house.

The oil I used was always a light, translucent brown with a reddish tinge. It was thin enough that it would not color the rod I dipped into the tank. If you had so much furnace oil leaking through a wall as to be visible from the street you would have a major problem beyond murdered kids.

Interesting that they speak of the stalker claim as "unverified" and lacking evidence. The way to consider that is how did they hear the claim and "reports" of it in the first place? If it comes from the girls via chat to another it is highly likely to be true rather than just made up. And if not from chat or a text, how was it "reported"?

This actually sounds like an important lead.
