Hot girl privilege is the only true privilege in this country
Woman here so I'll give my take. First, I'm going to say I think that on average, men have nothing on women when it comes to competition. EVERYTHING is a competition between women and it starts young. We have, at least some degree, control over how we do in academics or the business world. We don't have control over whether or not we are born attractive. And, while we do have control over weight, that's often not as easy to control as making a good grade on a test or excelling at work. So, you don't want to have an "unfair" disadvantage so you attack the areas where you feel you come up short. So, if a woman is beautiful and more successful for it, the lesser woman will want to tear her down. The Collective said:

this is because women rate themselves way higher than they really are men much better about accurately gauging themselves in society.A Net Full of Jello said:Woman here so I'll give my take. Women are brutal. We don't do ourselves up to look good for men. That's just a bonus. More times than not, it's to compete with other women. I'll stand by that statement.
I started reading a scifi/supernatural few series by a female author and all of her protagonists are women. She crosses a lot of age ranges in her books, but the insight into the female mind is really interesting. Y'all start psyops really early on, and it never stops.A Net Full of Jello said:Woman here so I'll give my take. I have felt for years, literally since 2014, that this fact is what drove him off the cliff. He knew perfectly well he was the most popular athlete in sports. They couldn't stop talking about him. He was followed around by the paparazzi. And everyone from ESPN to Kliff Kingsbury got rich off of it, except for him. I think he always had some issues but that drove him nuts. Everyone profited but him.BAP Enthusiast said:GeorgiAg said:Yeah, she missed out on millions. So did our boy Johnny Football.BAP Enthusiast said:GeorgiAg said:

If she had been born a decade later, she would have vaulted to number 1 on the lists with millions of followers on social media.
Manziel would have literally taken a paycut to go the NFL if NIL has been around. He was the most popular athlete in the US, even including the pros for 2 years.

Third-ranked Utah gymnastics hosted sixth-ranked LSU in Salt Lake City for its season-opener on Friday night and Olivia Dunne fans were out in full force. It led to a scene unlike any other in the sport, for both good and for bad.
Dunne, 20, is one of the biggest names in collegiate athletics. She has 6.6 million followers on TikTok, 2.7 million followers on Instagram and an estimated NIL valuation of more than $2.5 million.

While their attendance and fandom was harmless, if not encouraged, it reached a point that crossed a line. They repeatedly chanted "we want Livvy" over Utah and LSU gymnasts throughout the night despite the fact that she was not competing

And the reason women's gymnastics is more popular than men's...Quote:
I am a mother of a Utah gymnast, as we were walking to the car the group swarmed my daughter and her teammate. They literally said to their faces, you are not Livvy but you will do, can we get a picture. [The group] also called my daughter Livvy 2.0. They were so rude and disrespectful. It was very hard for mama bear not to come out.

It is not ok to blame any athlete/celebrity when fan behavior crosses the line. In a sport where all the girls wear nothing but leotards stop suggesting that how Livvy dresses means she deserves this in any way. Stop shaming girls for the behavior of boys. https://t.co/SG728snPRA

You didn't take this point to its logical end. The reason women compete so hard against one another is because of the attention of men. It might not be for immediate attention or for anyone in particular in that moment, but its because of wanting what men offer - security. Don't compete and you don't get the best spots.A Net Full of Jello said:Women are brutal. We don't do ourselves up to look good for men. That's just a bonus. Livvy Dunne is the perfect storm.
Not only is she incredibly hot, but she's a gymnast who is popular with young gymnasts, of which there must be thousands. So she has two kinds of fans ... dudes and young dudettes.
Her TV commercial is brutal, though. She should stick to the IG.

Geeez at this pace, she should highly consider becoming a career student.Quote:

One of the primary "super powers" of a woman is her femininity and sexuality. Women can use this "power" to control and manipulate men. A "Lady" is a woman who is aware of her sexuality and understand when and when not to flaunt.Quote:
