Her far right wing policies simply didn't fly. The markets reacted decidedly negatively towards unfunded tax cuts for the rich. Attempting to allow fracking again was also extraordinarily unpopular within her own party.
Far right? Come on.

Far right policy? She had zero British in her administration and she's supposed to be far right? A far right British politician would have put only ethnically British men in the administration and would have committed to repatriating industry.
Why do you say the right wing is the exclusive realm of white males?

Her fiscal policy of eliminating the top 45% tax bracket, reversing course on the already planned rise in corporate taxes are all bread and butter tax policies of the far right.

Her tax policies are well outside of the main stream. They certainly aren't left wing Labour policies. A significant percentage of right wing Conservatives don't agree with them. That puts her to the far right of her own party.

That far right has always been a nationalism > ethnonationalism path. It has never been anything but that. You can't be far right without being, at a minimum, a nationalist. There are various degrees of nationalism: civic nationalism, theocratic nationalism, and then finally ethnonationalism.

She's a middle of the road politician at best and has never been close to the far right.

Her policies would have helped the average citizen over the medium to long term, but I don't expect them to understand that.

Instead the citizenry will now take even more price hikes when their corporate tax rate goes from 19 to 25%. It was already scheduled to do that under Boris but she was going to pause it. Her peers revolted over this.
I dont really have an opinion of her either way, but that's something I took away too. I truthfully dont know the ins and outs of their entire financial outlook over there, but I do know they've kicked the can down the road for a long time. They need Thatcher-style austerity measures, to a greater extent than us (and we need it badly). But that is never ever popular.

Been listening to the Brits and her ascension is quite scary. Basically she was handpicked by power brokers to maintain the political orthodoxy. No political acumen whatsoever, unaccomplished and ineffectual.

Understood, but it's not uncommon for leaders at that level to be that.

She was being touted as the next Thatcher and not even two months later she's done. Was it because she was putting more effort into the business side of politics instead of the average citizen, or did she just do a major faux pas that couldn't be excused so she's having to step down?
Her policies would have helped the average citizen over the medium to long term, but I don't expect them to understand that.

The markets tanked over her policies. The Bank of England had to step in an prop up the pound. Pension funds were at risk. The capitalist markets were the ones which rejected them, and in turn applied a huge amount of pressure on the politicians.

Schwab bragged in a speech last year about the WEF penetrating world governments with their people.

In a separate speech he talked about women like the NZ PM and Truss as being 'graduates' of the WEF young leaders program.

To be clear, the 45% tax bracket starts at 150,000 pounds. Income above that was going to move to be taxed at 40%, like anyone from 50,000 to 150,000 pounds. Between that and easing on corporations, that was audacious enough to run someone out of office. They love their taxes and caretaker

Her budget decisions led to freakouts in the markets and quick devaluation of the pound. There was major backlash by global investors, the IMF etc.

Her problem was she then fired her Chancellor who came up with the mini budget idea and publicly flip flopped. At that point her own party started defecting up to and including one of her closest advisors last night.

She should have held steady and not flip flopped. I also think by her resigning ahead of any call for an election, the Tories can now vote internally and name the next PM instead of it going to a general.

Indeed they do. Many Europeans simply cannot imagine a world where gov't is not taking care of most every basic need, and thus, any attempt to reducing funding (taxes) of that mechanism completely obliterates their world with even just a mention of it.

Yeah they should be more like us, completely subjugated but deluded into thinking we have agency. We free thinking Americans will just keep cutting taxes for the rich and piling them on the middle class as long as line go up, real spending power be damned

When your policy prescriptions during high inflation include tax cuts (stimulating spending and increasing money velocity), and massive spending to subsidize consumer energy, markets rightly conclude that your that your currency will have to continue inflating to cover the deficit, and your currency gets further devalued. Hence why things fell apart and very quick order.
