Her far right wing policies simply didn't fly. The markets reacted decidedly negatively towards unfunded tax cuts for the rich. Attempting to allow fracking again was also extraordinarily unpopular within her own party.
Far right policy? She had zero British in her administration and she's supposed to be far right? A far right British politician would have put only ethnically British men in the administration and would have committed to repatriating industry.
Her fiscal policy of eliminating the top 45% tax bracket, reversing course on the already planned rise in corporate taxes are all bread and butter tax policies of the far right.
That's what they should do. I don't agree with Boris on a lot of things (his wife is an environmental whacko, and he caters to her whims on this), but is is very popular in the marginal seats that they have to win to form a government. And, having resigned as PM, he's done his penance for his sins and could now come back (you see people resign as ministers regularly for some screw up, only to come back in to government in the next reshuffle).Bunk Moreland said:Captn_Ag05 said:
So who is next
Oddly enough, Boris is in the top 3 and he's thinking of throwing his hat in the ring.
Energy suicide and tax increases are a staple of far left policy planks which the UK decidedly supports. Good luck to the general citizenry who will suffer from their pending corporate price hikes and continued hindering of energy independence.Bubblez said:
