Initially the Republicans were coming off as the crazy ones wanting a total ban on abortion and coming off as cruel and unsympathetic.

This past weekend I've heard Kari Lake, Herschel Walker, and Michigan governor candidate say they support exceptions on abortions. They gave a clear answer and it wasn't up for interpretation. It's the democrats having a hard time answering the questions now so now they sound like the crazy ones.

Overall Republican policies are better. They should win most every election but they are sometimes too stupid. Going back, Carter only won because of Watergate. Immediately replaced by Reagan who dominated. Clinton only elected because republicans got stupid again and let Perot split the vote. Obama won because no Republican was winning after 2008 financial crisis and that followed an unprecedented red wave. And in 2020 Biden won because Trump was Trump.

BTW Kari Lake is awesome. Didn't know too much about her but she's a female DeSantis. Tough and smart. She knows how to connect to an audience and clearly communicate the issue and directly answer a question. Initially she was being obtuse but has improved.

Here's where Kari could do better. 12 minute interview on CNN and after 5 minutes it gets derailed into talk about 2020 election. It plays right into the media's game.

This should be so easy. Did Biden win 2020 election. Yes, that why the country is falling apart and why I'm running. Will you accept 2022 election? Yes I will, but please investigate why Stacy Abrams is an election denier.

Boom it's that easy. Republicans win every major issue and let media trap them on crap that doesnt matters.

There is still a lot of confusion about the exceptions both from state legislatures and from the general public.

Even leaving the life of the mother aside, its still not clear to me whether its legal to have an abortion in some states for an unviable fetus or dead baby inside the womb.

Polls show people care about economy, crime, immigration. Republicans are strong on those issues. Democrats suck on those issues. When republicans waste time not talking about those three things they wasted time and gained no new voters.

Republicans are just democrats 10 years in the past.

It's a fairly easy concession since it happens in sooooooooo few instances.

The case in Ohio was so easy to counter with the guy being an illegal alien here due to Dem policies.

It is more important to win now, in 2022, than to settle the truth of 2020. That will NEVER happen as long as you have a Democratic Party holding all three branches government.

It also won't happen unless enough 2.0 candidates like this win and replace `squish' type Republicans.

Winning, by avoiding being trapped by the media always trying to set the topic to pay attention to -- is the priority.

If republicans would stop pushing for abortion bans and instead let the lefties murder their future voting rolls the issue would cure itself.

If my wife or daughter were raped and got pregnant from it I would want them to get an abortion asap and never think twice. I don't care if I have to go to jail, hell, or whatever punishment you see fit. I'd just want that scourge out of her and move on.

Yes, but there are some instances where if the baby is 100% healthy and is killing mom. If it goes too long, mom will die and baby will shortly thereafter. When those situations arise (usually some form of placental detachment, some pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome), there are some states where the doctor's can't intervene until the baby is in enough distress or dies first.

By that logic, there's no reason to act morally in any situation. If you can get away with it, do it. Right? I mean, we all fall short, so why ever try to do the right thing?
