There's constantly rhetoric lately about a irreconcilably divided country and how Texas should Texit. What would a modern American civil war look like? There are no clear dividing lines here besides socialists vs conservatives. Before it was north vs south. Now it would be blue cities surrounded by red counties? Or is it the ruling class against the peasants like in the bolshevik revolution?

The extreme 2% fringes of both sides tweeting at eachother from their couches?

For simplicity sake we will say it's Rs vs Ds.

Republicans in blue states will want to stay with the USA.

Democrats in Red states will want to stay in the USA.

Harris, Bexar, Travis and Dallas and other large cities and counties all want to stay with the US.


The rest of the Rs get their asses kicked.

Won't happen.

There are no organized factions, too much surveillance, no momentum would ever happen.

There are 17 million veterans, though. That could be a wild card.

Me, joyriding around a decimated San Francisco in Paul Pelosi's car collection and crashing them into random Statbucks until I've cratered every vehicle.

Then pulling up the the Civil War II memorial museum to visit the "wall of liars" where politicians had their tongues removed and nailed to a wall.

The only reason a civil war would ever happen is because liberals are ignorant and incapable of reason.

It would look a lot like northern Ireland all the "were so macho" crowd has far less teeth than they believe they do, and the "they're just liberals" group are way more destructive and violent than anyone believes.

It will devolve into sectarian violence with the extremeistists killing each other, and those that disagree with them.

If there was a civil war or military draft, that would solve the illegal immigrant problem. Most would go back to where they came from.

Sort of like Gettysburg, but not.

Ever read about what really happened in Bleeding Kansas? That times 10,000. Plus add in ABC attacks. A serious Civil War in the US, especially one that is largely unrestricted, even if conventional leads to 100,000s or millions dead. It's a really terrible, horrible idea.

This is correct. No one else is going to disrupt their comfortable lives or those of their families with anything that even remotely looks like a "civil war". There was more division over civil rights in the south during the 60s than there is now. But if you really need a visual, at best it looks like Joe Dirt fighting Lebowski

Not really. Its because like in so much else, Trump's follow-through is too bombastic and his hired choices too erratic to make a coherent counter attack. All the S. Powell and Lyn Wood stuff completely muddled (ask Hawg) the case building for redress after the election, giving room for legal evasions, and then the Jan 6 fiasco completely ruined it and gave all the initiative to the OBidens and MSM. The punch back is good, but the lack of coherency dissolves the swing.

Look at Italy. What is lacking is a party dedicated to being anti-Left and a clear message. DeSantis and Abbott's actions with the illegals is showing the way to some large degree. You need that on a bigger scale.

In some ways no fight has even begun. Its still unfocused and waiting on mid-term outcome's final verdict on whether elections work.
