I recall they wanted to be left alone to live their lives, but accepted and included in all aspects of society since they are just like everyone else.

I think this is probably something people are making a bigger deal of than is necessary. If you've talked to your kids about this stuff, then this isn't a big deal. If you haven't talked to you kids, then you are failing them. They are or will be exposed to this in every day life, they will get an education about it whether folks like it or not, better it come from you than their friends or a tv show.
Well this is pretty much the point. Woke media is forcing the issue, presenting it as "normal" and "acceptable" whether the parents think it's time to discuss this issue with their children or not.

I vehemently disagree with sin (even though some in my denomination are trying to make it ok), but kids 100% are going to see this kind of sin even if they don't watch TV. When that exposure does happen, we will talk about why people go against God's word, how you show love both by being kind to people but helping point them away from their sin struggles, and how to be a witness. In the end we live in an imperfect world, but Christ was perfect and we will try to do everything we can to be like him.

Edit to add that last couple sentences.

My 1-year-old is in a Mother's Day out the program from 9am-2pm during the week so my wife can get work done at home.

I found out his teacher has a "Christians for Abortion" and "Texans for Beto" Sticker on her car.

He will not be enrolled at that school after this semester and we already got enrollment at a different one.

We are going to pay for Catholic Private School for all our kids (we have another on the way and want 4-5), but I will raise hell if that trash is permitted to be shown to my kids before high school.

3 of my 5 are in Catholic school. Smaller classes, faith included in all aspects, strict discipline, high expectations yet with tender understanding.
The other 2 will enroll when old enough (3 and 1 yr olds). It costs us a small fortune, but worth every penny.

They are still exposed to the outside world daily, as alll their friends on the block are in the public schools and we have to supervise and redirect language/conversations when appropriate. But our hope and prayer is that a solid foundation (fill them up with so much good, that the bad has nowhere to seed) and with guidance from us as parents they will be able to discern right from wrong, and know what the moral choice is.

No one is forcing anyone to watch anything, so all that parents need to do is not let their kids watch these shows. It really is that simple.

As for what is normal and acceptable, it wasn't long ago in our country that women working, or even voting, wasn't normal or acceptable, yet here we are.

This. It's pretty much the only show we let our kids watch outside of classic Disney movies. It's a very wholesome show where the father is presented in a good light.

Also it's definitely written by people with small kids because there is a lot of humor in there for parents too, and not the "hidden dirty jokes" kind of crass humor.

My daughter is 15mo and LOVES Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood and Sesame Street. In the last week alone the former has slipped in a lesbian bird couple who kisses each other and the latter has showcased two gay married men.

I am hoping to find some better alternatives that we can actually trust if we happen to turn our backs for a few minutes by the time she is a little older and more aware of such things. For now I just suck it up and build more and more resentment towards gays and libs.

High school?! Talk about sheltering your kids. They're your kids, raise them however you want. But don't let them watch Friends (Chandler's parents are gay), The Mighty Ducks (one of the kids has two moms), Gravity Falls (the two male police officers are a couple), Arthur (Mr. Ratburn is gay), The Loud House (there's a couple that is gay AND interracial (*gasp*)), The Duck Tales reboot (one of the kids has gay parents), the list goes on and on. Don't let them visit other countries where gay marriage is allowed including USA (Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the UK). Don't expose them to different beliefs, wouldn't want them to think for themselves. And the Catholic Church has demonstrated over time the high moral standards they have with children. It's not like the leader of the church when asked about gay priests and gay Catholics, responded with "If they accept the Lord and have goodwill, who am I to judge them?"

What a thought though. Accept good willed people for who they are. What a world we could live in!

Now Chili might have a gay brother, but they have not introduced any of her brothers and sisters that I am aware of (just her dad).

For a kids show, it is pretty dang hilarious. Most kids won't pick up on some of the humor with the eye rolls and subtle comments by the dad and mom, but it is a great show.

Yeah, kids don't need friends, they need God and family. Friends are too often the source of going astray and sometimes take too much import in a kid's life to the point where they make bad decisions based on their friends.

I think they do need friends and social interaction. They will get that regardless of which school they attend and that includes homeschooling if need be. They're going to play club sports as well as attend school based on our plan as of now. If we have to pull them out of one school and put them in a different school they will make new friends and thus get more practice in social interaction.

Ahhh, yes, you're a "bigot" if you don't want your little kids exposed to gays couples (and trans and drag queens) on learning shows targeted at very young children.

You won't let your kids see their grandfather because he is like me and doesn't want gay/trans/drag stuff shoved in kids' faces? For real? That's honestly sad and very petty of you.

I'd be willing to bet that children of parents who safeguard against such things fare much better than children of liberals who think it's cool to expose them to gay, trans and drag stuff.
