Is it common practice around here for people to go back and edit their posts when something they repeat from the news turns out not to be true? Because I can't say I've ever seen much of that.

As for me, I've already said that we don't have enough information at this moment to know how serious (or not) this will turn out to be. All we know now is that WaPo is saying the feds were looking for classified documents about nuclear weapons.

If true, which of course is highly suspect, I figure it could be anything from GBSD docs to OPLANs. I thought I had read somewhere that former presidents maintain SCIFs in their residences post presidency. If so and assuming the docs were in there I don't see the issue. Even if not it's hardly worth raiding.

I have nothing to edit. I've been following the FBI story intensely since it broke and have been keeping an open mind. We're living through history right now and the FBI investigation, no matter the outcome, appears to be a major inflection point in our country's direction. This nuclear story requires context and an explanation at minimum. And if WAPO is totally wrong that's a major story in and of itself.
