Watching that reminds me of my lovely wife. She's a tough broad and doesn't mess around. Was driving thru downtown Memphis years ago after going to the Boy Scouts store with our three boys in a minivan, when a dude carrying a purse ran out into the street and tried to stop her. Yup. In Rio de Janeiro the motorcycles are crazy going in between cars by driving on the lane stripe while the vehicles are going slow or stopped in traffic. I always felt like I should just open my car door when they are speeding by.4stringAg said:

It's crazy that people not involved are picking violent people off.

Again, if you are being attacked, sure, run them down or shoot back.
But an earlier clip seems like a car just waiting for a bike to hit, and the last one, no way the car driver knew a crime had happened.
I wonder if some of these are gang vs. gang violence
It just seems that we are rapidly devaluing life and I can't imagine the effect it will have on our spirit.

Life has always been of low value to almost all societies throughout history. I mean Europe from the Middle Ages would like to say hello!

I married into a Brazilian family and about 5 years ago her uncle was in an attempted car jacking situation. The 2 guys with guns opened up the back doors and discovered there were 3 men sitting in the back seat. They then freaked out and there was a bunch of chaos and yelling. My wife's uncle took what he thought was the opportunity to take off. He hit the accelerator and when he did, one of them started shooting. Her uncle took a bullet in his lower back and is now paralyzed from the waist down.
Everyone knows that in Brazil, if a guy pulls a gun on you he is fully prepared to use it. He knows that in the unlikely event he is caught, he won't be prosecuted. The identity of guy that shot my wife's uncle is known but there is a law there that unless a police officer witnesses the crime, it is virtually impossible to get a conviction.
Because of all of this, people are aggressively going after these guys. I showed the video to my wife. She looked into it and said there is not any changes in the actual law that states you can kill a motorcycle criminal. This has been going on for many years. People have no confidence in the judicial system and so they are taking the opportunity to seek justice where they can.

I am going to start an export business selling Rancho steel bumpers for small cars in Brazil.
Australia has something called "roo bars" for deflecting kangaroos at highway speeds and all the cars in certain areas have them. They would probably work pretty well on other forms of street animals.
