Texas GOP is the largest convention in the states of both parties including the national conventions.
And no gays! Really went out of their way this weekend re: the log cabin republicans and new written platforms.

I don't want to see a single Republican poster tell me GOP is totally great for gay people ever again on here.

Yeah, things aren't great overall (I'm fine, don't you worry).

That being said, purpose of politics is still to get the most votes? As another posted said above, not a great showing for GOP (a point of view stated by many republicans themselves, including Donny Jr).

I for one don't agree with not including them. I welcome them everywhere, church, etc. I don't agree with their lifestyle choice, but I'm not their judge and I think we need to focus on what we agree on politically. I think the majority feel the same way, and given how awful Democrats' policies are for absolutely everything, you're a fool to vote for them just because they pat you on the head and act like they actually give a ***** They don't. All they care about is your vote.
I should totally vote for a party that doesn't think I should have a seat at the table.

Where have I ever said I'm looking for people to agree with me? I'd just like to not be in the crosshairs of a major political party. So naive, you think that platform is just a social commentary and nothing more to it? You'd be wrong.

I'm old enough.

Congrats though, you support a platform the majority of your party's voters do not. How out of touch.

The voters ultimately dictate direction leadership takes.

Please explain what "rights" the GOP is trying to take away from you. You can't.

My choice? I like females. A lot. I'm married. I deliberately fight against my DESIRE to have sex with females that aren't my wife because it's immoral and a sin to commit adultery. Just like it is to practice homosexuality.

I agree with you…the decision to exclude the Log Cabin Republicans from the state convention was a poor decision. The fact they even spent time on this and had a vote is really ridiculous; shouldn't we want as many people as possible from all walks of life to join the conservative movement so they can then reach out and have discussions with others? There is lot at stake over the next few elections and the state GOP thought it would be a good idea to exclude a fellow conservative group, which was an absolutely short sighted decision. I am as conservative as it gets and I do not agree with the lifestyle, but they should not have been excluded from the convention. If anything, they should have excluded RINOs from the convention. Log Cabin Republicans >> RINOs

Speaking of RINOs, why can't the state GOP get rid of Cornyn? He is a disgrace and is on board with this red flag bill being pushed by Chucky Schumer, which is one step closer to confiscation. The guy has no backbone. I wonder if there were any discussions of his replacement during this convention?

Maybe stop being obnoxiously sexual in public and stop demanding sexuality gets taught to young children, and people will be more tolerant.

It's like literally nothing is learned except provocation. I'm tired of it. I don't like it if some pro-Trump ******bag goes into a place and acts like an ass. I don't like it if some liberal, LGBT activist does similarly.

We're tired of it. Shut up and go away. We agree that you can own your bedroom and what goes on in it. The street is not your bedroom.

Well if we were looking for a list of things I've never done (as well as most gay men) I'd say this is a good start. This post and your next, they are polar opposites.

Making a platform against a group, as the Texas GOP did, is provocation and you're far more guilty of what you accuse us of. There is not singular gay movement (and if there was they wouldn't have much power), but there are very much two major political parties that have incredible power.

JSX is sweet, no TSA, you arrive at the private aviation terminal not the main terminal of Love Field or Hobby. Free cocktails and the seats are very comfortable with lots of space and no seats together.

Good lawd, do you have anything to offer threads without proclaiming your gay? Most conservatives DGAF, just imagine how much you'll learn when you realize that.
They don't? Texas GOP platform says otherwise. Imagine how much you'll learn when you realize your party is blowing it again on so many issues which are losers if priorities most voters actually care about are economy, national security, etc.

My post is 100% on topic for a disaster of a convention. Being gay is a problem for Texas Republicans which makes my post relevant, if not then why make a platform about it and block log cabin republicans? This wasn't a platform about grooming of children, it's about gay people overall.

The convention was far from a disaster. Should they have had anti-gar planks? No. I voted against them. We need to focus on getting our cou try back. But there is a LOT of great stuff in there that will still make everyone's, including gays lives better.

Don't be a single issue voter. There is so much more going on.

All people, including the gays, are far worse off right now with the democrats in charge.

What are you talking about? There are gay delegates at our table in our SD. They can see there are issues other than the one single issue you're hyper focused on.

My 1st ever GOP Convention! Over 7,000 delegates and guest ascended on Houston bringing $$$ millions to the economy.
Texas GOP is the largest convention in the states of both parties including the national conventions.
And no gays! Really went out of their way this weekend re: the log cabin republicans and new written platforms.

I don't want to see a single Republican poster tell me GOP is totally great for gay people ever again on here.

Good for them. Can't imagine staying where I'm clearly not wanted or be that self-loathing that I'd stay. Fix your party.
