BMWs suck so I'm not surprised. That doesn't mean ice vehicles should not be purchased. It just means you bought a **** brand and should have done your homework
Yeah BMWs do suck. Fooled me twice but never a 3rd time. In the olden days, their performance made up for the maintenance issues but no more. Many cars now have similar performance without all of the issues.
Lets say you are a buyer of a new SUV and take away all of the subjectivity such as looks, Ice vs EV, politics etc. Sticking just to facts which the majority of Americans care about.

Car 1 is a Tesla before the 7500 Tax credit which the majority of Americans would be eligible for and more so those buying a new car in the 50k range. Car 2 is a popular/reliable Lexus RX 350 where currently you have a high chance of getting price gouged. Looking at both, the performance and practical space/storage, is not even comparable. Anyone who drives the vast majority of their miles in the city would be doing themselves a disservice for not looking at a Tesla.
Tesla has made the buying experience AND service especially in a large city so easy. I purchased the car on my phone, no haggling price. I paid via bank transfer. I picked a delivery date/time. I show up, they point to where my car is, my App opens up the car, I drive off. Took me 5 minutes to drive off the lot. I wanted to add a Hitch. I put in a service request on my app, I pick a date, they tell me its a mobile service. They came, put on my hitch in 1 hr, and left. Service with Tesla in Austin is a pleasant experience, car dealerships tend to be all day nightmares.
Legacy better get their act together because how they operate feels like having a flip phone.
