Took off shirt, and still kicked off flight.

These companies need to start getting sued for breach of contract not allowing someone to fly. Bumping someone from a flight for overbooking and not getting them on another flight within 4 hours entitles the passenger to 4x the ticket cost. Needs to be more for discretionary **** like this.

This looks like racial discrimination. I am sure some rapper has worn equally offensive clothing aboard a flight.

Then they need to state that then we just don't want you flying today instead of BS reasons that aren't true

If they don't have a policy that says that, I do not believe they can. At least not without facing repercussions.

Breach of contract. You have to have a valid reason to break your side of the contract, and apparently clothing restrictions isn't one of them.

There was a bar in Dallas that was recently sued for not allowing minorities in because they violated dress code

In other words, there's precedent for filing this as a racial discrimination

Companies have policies for a reason. When they apply these policies unevenly that's, discrimination. And they get sued.

Delta's Contract of Carriage, Rule 7(E) includes a series of reasons why they may refuse to transport a passenger. The last item on the list states:

8) When the passenger's conduct, attire, hygiene or odor creates an unreasonable risk of offense or annoyance to other passengers.

This is probably enough to cover them, although it is still crazy to kick him off after he removed the sweatshirt.

If it was "F" or "FJB" or "let's go brandon" I would be outraged. But unless it's an adults only flight, private biz should be able to exclude profane attire.

It's also an outer garment that can be easily removed to comply.

I think most already know airlines are well within their rights to remove a passenger for attire. That issue has most likely been discussed here several times in the past. Passenger was looking for engagement or attention but they knew if seen or reported they would be removed from the flight.

Conservatives have no institutional power. So that means if they express their political views, they can be denied travel on every airline --- every major carrier is left wing controlled.

Since these airlines are participating in FAA regulated interstate commerce, I believe that they should NOT be allowed to discriminate by viewpoint.

If this pattern of denying people service, denying them employment, and denying them participation in the normal day to day functions of society continue, we are going to have a civil war sooner rather than later.

If they can force a company to serve you because you are black or even if you choose to be gay, they should also force a company to serve you even if your political ideology is different.

Would be funny to get a shirt that has FJB on one side and FDT on the other...start with FJB and then turn it inside out and if they don't mind the FDT then you're flying First Class for the rest of your life...

He took off the offensive hoodie. Theoretically, he was removed because he did not put his mask back on fast enough. He put it on, just not soon enough.

They kicked him off the flight simply because that's what they wanted to do. Imagine being kicked of a flight because you don't move quickly enough or submissively enough to satisfy a crew member. Now imagine the crew member is _________.
You may not be a moron, but some people think you are.

That sweatshirt contains offensive material and is worn in poor taste. I would say the same about an "F Trump" hoodie.

But he removed it when asked.

And he was deplaned and had his ticket canceled.

Bad job, Delta.

There should be a social experiment where two people agree to wear a shirt or hoodie that says FJB and the other says FDT on the same plane. Film secretly who gets discriminated first. No profanity. Just the initials. Could be an easy lawsuit to win especially if you follow all the guidelines. Split the profits. Sure you risk the no fly list but now you have f you money.

I'm guessing there is more to this story too. But it's on the internet so it MUST be true.
