Remember, Delta airlines had to take care of this because this yoot's daddy failed as a parent.

In addition, somewhere along his path from child to adult, he did not have an appropriate whoopin' for his choices and actions early on that would have prevented a stupid decision as an adult. Good for Delta. Probably saved him an ass whipping on one of the flights by a dad that doesn't have any problem doing someone elses job.

As for the mask, that sucks. There is a simple way to fix that....get your own GD plane and fly it to where you want to go. Your plane, your rules. Otherwise, STFU and quit being an attention hoor.

Understood though I do not agree that they should not be bound as if they were a government agency or state actor. Heck of us can remember the days when they were regulated by the government and controlled as if they were simply an extension of the government.

If Delta would like to ban all shirts containing specific words, then they should make that known. Pizza parlor can post signs for Spicoli saying "no shirts" no shoes, no service". But they do have to apply that consistently.

One of the main points of contention people have with the prohibition of MAGA and FJB gear is that its only applied against one particular group of people. Its the vagueness and inconsistent application of their "discriminatory" policies that SHOULD get them into trouble on this.

The situation in the OP is proving to be more over masks than the shirt (and maybe the dude's attitude as well), but there have been instances where one side is allowed free expression and another side is held to a completely different standard.

Companies have the right to not have him fly. I don't see the problem
If they don't have a policy that says that, I do not believe they can. At least not without facing repercussions.
Delta's Contract of Carriage, Rule 7(E) includes a series of reasons why they may refuse to transport a passenger. The last item on the list states:

8) When the passenger's conduct, attire, hygiene or odor creates an unreasonable risk of offense or annoyance to other passengers.

This is probably enough to cover them, although it is still crazy to kick him off after he removed the sweatshirt.
Gotcha. so hygiene. As in fat asses. I better not see a single fat person on my next flight it it will cause annoyance.

These companies need to start getting sued for breach of contract not allowing someone to fly. Bumping someone from a flight for overbooking and not getting them on another flight within 4 hours entitles the passenger to 4x the ticket cost. Needs to be more for discretionary **** like this.
wouldn't it be like cafes or any business that posts "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone?"
I mean, i guess. If the cafe took your money, gave you a full cup of coffee and then took back the coffee right out of your hand and didnt give you your money back, you would say that's ok and just a private corp doing whatever it wants?

No. I am as libertarian as they come and that's silly. Not to mention with something like flights where real damages occur by them not holding up their end of the bargain after taking payment.

This is a broken promise in exchange of goods and services. This guy needs to sue the brakes off them.
What do you believe he would be able to sue for?

He agreed to the airlines contract of carriage when he paid for the tickets and boarded the flight.

Specifically, Rule 7, paragraph E, sub-paragraphs 1, 3, and 8.

https://www.delta.com/us/en/legal/contract-of-carriage-dgr/#7re

As a believer in the libertarian ideology, are you saying it is ok for a customer to break the terms of a contract and then receive compensation from a private company for doing so?

Yeah I actually read what you posted and I hope you are not a lawyer. lol

Nowhere in there does it allow the pilot or flight crew to throw someone off for a political statement on clothing. Also he did comply with their orders. They refused to let him stay on because he asked what he was doing wrong.

You dont seem to be arguing in good faith here.

Where was this? None of the Delta employees can speak English.

Another idiotic post by BrazosDog.

Its not the company's rules. It the rules set by the simpletons you voted for; you know, the totalitarian government run by a tittie pinching pedo.

As a preface tp my comment concerning this situation; I realize our country has become far more crass in the last 20 years or so with much of that originating from the left especially in regards to political rhetoric particularly during the Trump presidency. Now that being stated I have no problem with anyone not wearing proper attire (and yes I believe a hoodie with the Eff word is not proper public attire) being removed from a flight if the situation is not rectified in a timely manner after a polite request and a reminder that failing to do so means you are going to be put off the plane.

This specific person was booted from a Delta flight. There rules would o my apply to flying on their airline and not the entire airport.
