I feel like this was more of a situation of Syrski having Zelenski's ear over Federov. Those two don't get along, and Federov is more focused on the war rather than political maneuvering so he ignores Syrski. Syrski convinces Zelenski to oust Federov, and then reality comes out and shatters Syrski's narrative that he had Zelenski believing. A tale as old as time in government, military, and corporations. The battle between those focused on the mission, and those focused on political power.

Define "a lot". I see single digits. And they're not even in their trucks. Sooooo….

Dual purpose goods are open season. I'll become concerned about Ukraine taking out trucks shipping dual use goods and logistics hubs when Russia stops leveling cities, dropping missiles on apartments, and hunting civilians with drones.

Brought this up as a possibility a couple of weeks ago and looking like it may transpire. Only chance Russia has to salvage their "SVO" and subjugate Ukraine politically as desired total victory in which they take Kyiv via Chernihiv. Needless to say that something of this nature would be a true human wave assault undertaken with the willingness and intent to stack tens upon tens of thousands of their own dead and raze everything in their path. Would be on par with the bloodiest Soviet battles of WW2, IMO.

Hope Russia thinks better of it.

From what we've seen the past couple of years, do we think they care? I wouldn't put it past Russia to give everyone a grenade and a sharp stick, and send them in waves until Ukraine runs out of bullets.

My question is how they'd manage to amass the troops, transports, and armor without it getting wiped out well on the other side of the Russian border.
