If Ukraine hasn't already extensively mined and trenched and placed obstacles all along that don't line months ago, then they totally failed.

50,000 Russian troops trying to take that area is suicide.

Looks like the Russians know this will be a spectacular failure and are doing it anyway. Probably was inthe works for a while with the assumption that no US aid would come. Now that it is they have to rush it and do whatever they can.

Ukraine has been fending itself against a large monster for almost 800 days. There is NO PANIC in Ukraine and opening an ASSAULT on another portion of the FRONT isn't going to incite any additional panic, absolutely FALSE. Any panic that was present ended, about the time Zelensky informed the world he wasn't going anywhere and that he was going to defend Ukrainian Sovereignty until the end. War has become a way a life over there where schools, celebrations, every day activities, routinely occur under sirens, bomb blasts, drones whirring missiles streaking, fires burning, even death.

Stakhanov, Luhansk may have some news.

Stakhanov is the Russian name for Kadiivka. Google maps shows what looks like a small chemical or petro plant and several medium size factory buildings.

The really big refinery in that region is the Lysychansk oil refinery situated between Slovyansk and Lysychansk. It's the size of a small city.
