Mind blowing the number of impact craters in some of the videos. Literally no piece of ground that isn't touched.

Pretty good episode of Speak The Truth this evening. Probably one of the best I've seen in a few months.

Good lord, look at that landscape. This is South of Bakhmut.

Not sure what you are looking at. Those are tree shadows, not craters.

Go to the 00:18 second mark and pause. Where trees are located along the left side and through the middle of the frame you can clearly see their trunks and the difference in height between actual tree tops and where the shadowing/contrast of artillery impacts occur across the landscape. There may be some scrub interspersed through the area but what you're seeing isn't simply a bunch of trees.

Russia moved all of its Tu-22 strategic bombers away from the Soltsy airfield after it was attacked by a quad-copter carrying an IED. This attack, likely launched by saboteurs from Russian soil, resulted in the complete destruction of a Tu-22M3 aircraft

For those in the know, any comments on the assertion below of the superiority of 155 v. 152?

the Estonian or Latvian soldier who has a youtube about Ukraine was reporting they moved all the strategic TU bombers north to near Murmansk.

which is very close to the Finland border.

If I'm the good guys, I am infiltrating Uke special forces units from Finland and the Baltics into north Russia across those undefended borders in the woods

and blowing a LOT of stuff up in the next few months....

It's the same video as these two posts.

Multiple videos and angles showing the impacts

This is a huge & decisive change! At the start of the war the Russians had a 10 to 1 advantage in artillery, and a 4 to 1 advantage in tanks. To all those who say that Ukraine is failing this attrition will continue, until Ukraine has such an advantage that the RU army will lose

isn't this a significant provocation? especially as far as Poland is concerned?

While humorous, it seems like a good strategy. Just requires a ton of ferries

Or is Ukraine sinking the ferries that Russia was using the replace the bridge while it was damaged?

Maybe we can send them ours.

Oops sorry misread it. I thought they were sinking furries.

Seems dumb. What happens if you need the ferries because they hit the bridge with a missile or another truck/train bomb?

Aren't their UWVs very shallow draft anyway? Doesn't seem like a sunken ferry will matter much.

The segments near shore that are low enough for the UWV's to attack are likely in shallow enough water that the deck would still be above the waterline. They'd likely present a physical barrier above the water.

Could the Ukrainians attach short range missiles to their sea drones? Or launch effective drones from them. Drive them in as close as they can and launch them to multiple targets and then try for ships or the bridge?

Not a big weapons expert so don't shoot me!

I have Croatia on the brain, we leave next week to visit!

This just hit redditt. Early comment says why disclose now and instead of after and follow on comment says have you heard of the attack on bridge.

Still seems like an odd strategy. I would imagine it would be difficult to sink end to end across such a large body of water…or even staggered, overlapped. You'd think Sat. imagery should be able to pinpoint viable attack lanes for the drones.

Desperation is desperation. Russia has proved several times not that they cannot protect the span over its full length 100%. With such a huge strategic asset they have to be seen Doing Something. Same people that were digging up the asphalt on major roads leading to Moscow when Prigozhin was marching his way up north with tracked armored vehicles.

They're going to wish they hadn't sunk all their ferries when the bridge is unusable and they're evacuating Crimea

The blockships make more sense to defend against a fully submersible drone

They are orcs. They will just leave their loyal little lackeys behind when they start to lose Crimea. Expending effort on those left behind is not a russian core value.

Could this be a translation issue? Sinking barges would be cheap and effective compared to ferries.

I can totally see them abandoning their soldiers without a second thought, but I was thinking about moving their armor & other motor vehicles quickly. Ferries might not even be able to handle their heavies for all I know. Sinking ships of any kind as a defense is just bizarre to me.

What are their 'heavies?' This seems desperate, agreed.
