There's a reason they used to call it "shell shock".

Honestly no surprise how fiercely the Ukrainians are fighting back against these murderers and rapists.

There's a video of a wounded Russian sniper drawing his last breaths, and the Ukrainians around him are casually commenting "Well he's getting there".

10-Year-Old Ukrainian Boy Says Russian Troops Burned His Mom Alive

Quote:

The boy, identified as Andrei Bliznyuk, spoke to the Ukrainian news outlet TSN about the family's doomed escape from the village of Sofiivka in early March.

He said they were confronted by a column of Russian military vehicles as they tried to make their way out, and one of the armored personnel carriers deliberately crushed their vehicle.

"Dad died first. Mom was still alive, but wounded," the boy told the news outlet as he revisited the wreckage of the family's car for the first time.

Russian troops yanked him out of the vehicle and tossed him on the road, he said, then they began firing at the family's car as his parents were still inside, deliberately aiming for and striking the gas tank.

"We were in trenches on a small hill near Kharkiv not long ago. Not a big hill, just a rise above and trees behind. We had no place to piss and **** in the trench so we went in the trees behind. Someone said we should **** in the trench in cups but no one wanted to smell that and what if they spilled?

So the trees are where we went. 'Mykola' went into the trees to ***** He was gone about 5 minutes and we heard artillery shoot in front of us. This was not strange because we had not been hit in days but we always heard artillery fired. Now we heard the artillery coming at us and we all yelled to Mykola to hurry the *****up.

It (artillery shells) starts hitting in front of us and Mykola is still not returned yet. For 15 minutes it hits and Mykola is gone. When it is done he comes back with no pants on. We ask where he was? He told us he ran further away from the trench. His pants on his ankles so he left them behind. He comes back after to find his pants and artillery had moved them into a tree!

So now Mykola sits with no pants. We found him something to wear and now when he goes to take another **** we tell him to bring another pair of pants. He said next time he will **** in the trench."

"I'm a Russian immigrant living in the United States. Proud American citizen. (Believe it or not, there's a lot of us) I was conscripted into the Russian army in 1995. I'm not here to offer any political or strategic opinions, but only to talk about the trauma I know all the soldiers are going to have to deal with in the coming years. I know because I am a survivor of Grozny.

In Grozny, I saw nothing but criminal acts on both sides. More than once I saw captured Chechens shot against a wall or in the street. More than once, captured soldiers, my friends, were butchered like hogs within earshot of us. In war, you are not your normal self.

I know these soldiers are going to have nightmares. I know that some won't be able to please their wives because of impotence. I couldn't for a long time. They will never hold their children the same way again because they will have seen children blown to pieces.

They will never walk the streets again without at least a small thought in their head a rifle is pointed at them from a window. They will never be able to be fully truthful about what they saw and what they did. Out of shame, anger or guilt. No war story you ever hear is the complete truth.

Myself and other Chechen war veterans will attest to this. I know men on both sides of this war are just thinking one thing. 'I'd rather be home.' Because war is not like the movies we see here in America. You don't die with glorious music playing and in slow motion. You may get your jaw shot off and scream for hours until you bleed out. You may get crushed by a tank, or burn to death trapped in a house. Worst of all, you may fight among your own homes and families like these Ukrainians.

Those kids in Mariupol. In that factory. If they make it out of that building they have my prayers. They will not be the same coming out as they were coming in.

War will turn all of these boys into shadows of men who have blood on their hands. I feel so sorry that another generation of people will be traumatized. Traumatized because the fires of government grew too big and burned everyone it could."

These murderous Russians are to stupid to even hide their war crimes, they do it right in front of the cameras. They need to be dealt with. They should be fully repelled from Ukraine and turned in to another Hermit Kingdom, shunned by the world

The chaos of the 1990s was blamed on Russia's weakness. Putin rode to power on the promise to deliver strength. His abuse of power, corruption, violation of human rights and erosion of democratic institutions were all tolerated in the name of that promise of strength.

Russia may have been poor, corrupt and authoritarian, but Putin was seen investing in the military and building up Russia's "greatness". And the Russians have always been suckers for greatness. They would sell their last shirt for the elusive promise of greatness.

Parades, parades, parades. Tanks, tanks, tanks. Missiles, missiles, missiles. Even "liberal" Russians were secretly tempted by that image of "Russia standing tall and proud." I am so glad Ukraine punctured a hole in this image. A big gaping hole.

I hope all the chauvinism, all the arrogance of our minds, all the stupid delusions - all will now be sucked out into the vacuum of space. Russia is poor, corrupt, authoritarian. And it genuinely sucks at everything. It is being defeated by Ukraine. Joy.

Maybe something good will come out of this. But first Russia will have to accept what it actually is, and not what it has always pretended to be.

This is so correct, so brilliant, it needs to be repeated. Perfect.
