Yeah, I don't know what military significance if any that building holds, but after all the private residences, schools, hospitals, churches, etc I don't give a **** what ukr targets.

More on Ukraine's first combat use of its new domestically produced ballistic missile.

"According to Ukrainian and company-released information, the FP-7 has a range of approximately 250 kilometers (155 miles) and a warhead weighing around 150 kilograms (331 pounds). Other published figures have put its velocity at approximately 1,500 meters per second (around 3,350 miles per hour). Rather than striking targets deep in the Russian rear areas, the missile is optimized for use against objectives such as logistics hubs, air defense sites, and drone bases."

Quote:

Dobropilla - the biggest ongoing battle of the Ukrainian war

The scale of the battle for Dobropilla has rarely been seen before. Russian forces are sending hundreds of men on assault everyday, hundreds are being eliminated while the 1st Azov Corps still manages to contain the offensive.

Russia is currently massing 4 armies on a 50km front to attack Dobropilla and advance west of Kramatorsk, the main key city under Ukrainian control in the Donbas. In this direction, Russia is using a massive number of drones and KAB guided bombs, as well as many soldiers.

In recent weeks, they managed to advance south of Dobropilla and secure a foothold north and west of the defensive line 0.5 (incomplete). Despite heavy losses, they advanced (mainly the 51st army) and are threatening the city from the south. Further north, the 41st army didn't manage to progress a lot, despite a lot of infiltrations. They suffered from recent counter-attacks from Ukrainian forces, which managed to clear some infiltrated areas.

Right now, the situation on the Drujkivka front was partially stabilized, not the one near Dobropilla. This is the main place where Russia is currently advancing.

FWIW, the Russians are claiming it was a fire sparked by welding. The building has been under extensive renovation.

More battlefield innovation.

"In an exclusive interview with TWZ, the commander of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade's "Alter Ego" UGV unit, who goes by the call sign "Electric," offered us unique insights into the challenges of developing amphibious UGVs and how they were deployed."

Ukraine needs to respond in kind. Moscow can get a lot more unlivable.

Oh no, a pothole with potentially negligible structural damage that can be repaired in 48 hours.

The one thing this conflict continues to show is that without the nuclear weapons Russia is NOT a first rate military power and not a threat to NATO at all.

They can't even destroy a bridge less than 200 yards from their border and are still fighting over villages and hamlets in the east.

The US armed forces could destroy and drop that bridge by someone in Kansas pressing a button….. slight exaggeration.

Ukraine hammering away at Russia's energy industry.

"Some of Russia's 32 refineries have been hit as many as 15 times since the start of the war, and one refinery has been hit every three days in recent months, creating a cycle of damage and emergency repairs that could degrade units long term, according to the International Energy Agency.

Ukrainian strikes have also increasingly targeted the more complex equipment that removes impurities from fuel, which takes months to repair. The IEA says diesel output has fallen by about 30%, and drivers have had to wait up to 40 hours to fill up at gasoline stations."

Europe continues to step up.

"German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has announced a new round of military aid for Ukraine, valued at approximately 1 billion Euros ($1.1 billion), to include turbojet-powered drone interceptors, standoff weapons and space-based technology.

The announcement was made during a surprise visit to Kyiv on Sunday, where Merz said he refused to be intimidated by an "escalation of Russia's war of aggression," after Moscow destroyed a bridge in the city earlier in the day. "

It's crazy to think of a world where JFK through a proxy fired on Russia. Yet here we are acting like it's perfectly normal to fire deep into the country with more nukes then nobody,

Also crazy that in 1997 Russia signed the Treaty of Friendship that officially recognized Ukraine's territorial integrity, including Crimea ... then 17 years later invade Ukraine and Crimea. .

It is pretty crazy the kind of **** that happens to you when you invade your neighbors with an overblown sense of what your armed forces are capable of. You would think watching all of Saddam's high end Soviet equipment get blown up in Gulf War I would have given them some pause.

It's crazy to think of a world where people look to 1938 as the model for dealing with a belligerent revanchist dictator.

Yeah, it was pretty crazy to see Tucker arguing the Neville Chamberlain side of the pre-WWII argument the other day. Appeasement is always so productive...for the ones being appeased.

As well as for the type of person willing to continue selling out whoever they have to in order to stay on the profitable side of the equation. I mean, at least until they run out of people to sell out.
