Hand is dark with soot

This is exactly right. The shots are coming so fast that the threat that caused the first shot is still in action when the last shot was fired. Once the threat was on the ground he stopped. That is a reasonable defense reaction in my opinion as a layman observer.

So Kyle had not raised the barrel when pedo reached for the barrel. Bullet trajectory was down thru the hand hit pavement and bounced fragmenting into his leg. Pedo was definitely attacking.
Looks like that to me. I'm not a medical examiner but I did stay at Holiday Inn Express last night.

The media is ONLY going to focus on the back to front orientation of the lethal shot, ignoring its from the pedo's lunge for the weapon.

SO the bullet entered the hand fro the middle finger and exited the back of the hand between the forefinger and the thum, he was grabbing the muzzle, based on the charred skin on the hand.

Mind you the weapon has a muzzle suppressor on it so the actual flash is dispersed so his hand had to be really close to the muzzle of the barrel

Poor kid. He looks visibly upset. Pale and as if he is about to throw up. Not even looking at any of the exhibits.

I may have missed the answer to this before, but it was said that the judge changed procedures after deleting a video of the jurors. What were those procedure changes? I'm very nervous about the jury bias/intimidation. What can the judge do if he feels the jury acted in bad faith or under intimidation? Can he throw out their verdict?

Asking as a layperson. Thanks.

Would think that would probably be handled at appeal.

Is it just me? Or do these exit wounds seem smaller than expected?

These wounds are typical for .223/5.56 rounds.
ETA: at such close range, the rounds are moving extremely fast and punch through an object as opposed to tumbling and causing more damage.

If serious, Judge can independently voir dire each juror and could declare a mistrial.

223 bullets are pretty small.

These wounds are typical for .223/5.56 FMJ/non-hollow point rounds.
The story isn't that [DeSantis] "couldn't win" the primary. The story is that an overwhelming majority of our population is heinously stupid. 50% of them vote for communists. 75% of the remaining 50% vote for Trump, who cant win. When the majority of the opposition party insists on voting for an opposition candidate who can't win, you get exactly the government you deserve. - Well Endowed Ag

depends on the bullet for .223

if it was a 75 hp it would be more traumatic than a 55gr fmj

Thanks, and yes, I'm serious. This is interesting to keep track of.

No further answer on the procedure changes?

No. Jury apparently has been congregating somewhere to board a bus to be brought to the courthouse. Certainly the judge would not announce where and how that procedure will be changed in open court.

Again, another bullet that went through the body but no exit, bullet still lodged inside and under the skin.
5.56 will do lots of damage. Bullet will "tumble" once it enters causing more damage than if it went straight through. Shot to the pelvis probably was enough to stop him. Break the pelvis and one can't walk. A LEO buddy of mine said they had been trained on this.

Doc testifying to pelvic shot now...

No you're correct. The lethality of 556/223 comes from the velocity and yawing fragmentation.

At the point blank range out of 16 inch barrel…one is talking north of 3100 feet per second, which is 2113 miles per hour. The energy and shockwave point blank are high….however the bullet is traveling too fast to tumble or yaw, so what you have is pass through. Of course if it hits bone that's different.

Edit. I did not see if they recovered any rounds from deceased….was just speaking generally with the same circumstances

They do a lot of "hydraulic" damage buy moving the liquid in the body outward from the path of the bullet at extremely high velocity, which causes a lot of damage to the tissue without shredding it completely apart. Think thousands of thousands of tiny tears around the bullet path, and not just the puncture hole itself. It breaks down the integrity of the tissue it passes through causing a lot of hemorrhage. Small hole, lots of damage still.

Just re-watched the actual shooting video, from phone camera, Rosenbaum is chasing Rittenhouse, catches up to him, but sort of passes by him, (momentum?), Rittenhouse then shoots 4 times towards Rosenbaum's backside. The shots and Rosenbaum falling are all simultaneous.

Oh, I agree. But I was remembering wrong, I thought Rosenbaum caught him between the cars and Rittenhouse shot him directly in the face and groin.

When the ME said the graze wound was back to front I was like, huh? Thought they were trying to say he executed him basically while he laid on the ground.
