Royal Marines reportedly 'dominated' U.S. Marine Corps troops at the Green Dagger training exercise in the Mojave Desert


Royal Marines have forced US troops to surrender just days into a training exercise after eliminating almost the entire unit.

The British commandos "dominated" US forces during a training exercise in California, using a new battle structure

Exercise Green Dagger took place at the US Marine Corps' Twentynine Palms base in the Mojave Desert in southern California.

The US forces asked for a "reset" half way into the five-day war fighting exercise, having suffered significant simulated casualties

At one point, the commandos' "kill board", an intelligence assessment of the level of damage inflicted upon enemy equipment and units, had a tick against almost every American asset

British troops infiltrated the enemy's rear area causing havoc by striking high value targets and command and control nodes, which paralyzed any counterattack.

Throughout the exercise, the commando artillery unit destroyed multiple enemy vehicle and artillery positions

The rot is deep. You have to think the general staff of the military is completely into the 'transformative' change Obama espoused. How far down does it reach? When the current crop of colonels promote into general, do things change? Is the feedback loop compromised so the officers that make it to the top are the ones that can't win wars?

We had a Color Sergeant with us at OCS. Very sharp instructor. He was also an Olympian for the Uk in one of the martial arts events (can't remember which). During self defense drills he asked me to punch him. I figured you only get one shot like this and that it was best not to wait for him to take a defensive stance so I aimed right for his nose and let it rip. Next thing I know I'm on my back looking up at the sky. I'm still not sure how he took me down so fast.

I'm curious as to how the exercise was set up but it sounds like the US Marines were defending a base and not maneuvering.

We are going to definitely be clocked in the first round of battles of the next serious war. And like the French, its not a given there will be any coming back. (They were bailed out by another power, remember) If we are lucky, there will be a turn-around point, but the road back in the fight will be unnecessarily hard from a bad start.

And it certainly inspires no confidence to hear Milley fretting about the danger of China. With such as he in charge, victory is practically out of the question.

Rightly or wrong, no one after a failure of Afghanistan' magnitude should still be in the driver's seat.

If you study the End Times in the Bible, there are pretty clear references to the major players in the final war - Russia, China, Middle East... there is no reference to the US.

There is, of course, plenty of speculation as to why the US would not be involved, but my personal theory is that the US, like many great empires, will implode and fall.

Given the current trend of this country, along with our military weakening, I think implosion/fall is more likely than not.
