It sounds like they weren't. Maybe one day when criminals realize it's safer being in jail than out on the streets, things will change.

That's what's confusing. As of now all sources say the same thing, the father just believed that the boyfriend had sold his daughter into trafficking. Nothing stating he knew for fact or even what his basis was.

Sounds to me like the 19 year old got off easy here. The dad just brutally killed him. A less disciplined man would have tortured the guy for a week or two until the guy begged for death. This dad did it relatively quickly. I'd think a month or two of probation should count as justice served.

She was 16 at the time. After they got her back home, Dad 'found out' the boyfriend was in Spokane. He went there and confronted him. Ended up killing him with a cinder block. Put him in the trunk of a car and (I think I heard) drove the car to Everett,WA where he left the car. Body was found a year later when some transients were gutting it, and found the body.

I was going to say at first that the Dad was innocent.

I don't believe that is entirely the case now. He should be held responsible for any parking violations that he may have committed.

Exactly. And many people who are abused, even non-sexual, can be held hostage emotionally. There are many, many ways a victim can be held against their will and they don't all include physical bonds.
