The correct answer is ALWAYS "Those pants would look better around your ankles".

A lot of talk about wives and not one comment has advice on how to make your wife lose weight successfully...

Marry a semi-elite athlete and be in shape yourself. Has helped me avoid that land mine.

That can backfire though. If you marry a high school or college athlete, they get accustomed to a high calorie intake because they burn everything off. Then they stop being an athlete and continue to eat like they are.

Yes, but athletes often realize when their bodies are going and start working out again to maintain it. My wife was a volleyball player and after 3 kids realized she needed to do something. She made adjustments with her diet as well. She's in great shape for a 40 year old with 3 kids.

I'm a skinny dude but with her muscle and height, she outweighs me by 20 lbs.

Back to the actual topic of the thread, I'm lucky I have a good paying job and that she's got great morals, because she absolutely wouldn't need me otherwise in today's world.

We have rules around here for a reason.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Drugs and orgies with his glimmer twin Keith? Or are you referring to some later life philosophy?

I believe the exact quote is "a busted can of biscuits."

The US is seeing the rise of 'hyper-hypergamy.'

A failing economy and grim prospects for the average GenZer has led to a third option; that is abandonment of their sexual identity.

The equivilent of tumping the board over and rage quitting.

Consequence of this is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

More competition for less resources is what we are seeing, but there is a third option available in that the LGBT option is the path of least resistance for a huge chunk of Gen Z.

Seems like the same finite number of people are LGB that's always been, but some in Gen Z may see it as a cheat code for life.

I think you have a point. These days, being gay is celebrated, but being unsuccessfully heterosexual is as uncool as ever. So, if you're unpartnered, claiming some LGBT identity is actually a way to save face, that it wouldn't have been 25 years ago.
