The numbers I linked were for September 14-21 and the policy changed on September 13.
Again, still not enough time. The Montgomery county judge just found about in the last day or two. I'm not sure what's hard about this part for you (unless you just like to argue).
I don't think Zobel just likes to argue any more than the rest of us. We're all guilty of that, its why we're here instead of answering emails.
I have been kind of mystified at the totality of Zobel's COVID responses. They are deeply founded in wanting really good data before making a decision (which is great), being educated about what the formal authority groups have to say (also great), and have strong convictions about decisions based upon the data (also fine). But there's always a handwavy-ness when its brought up just how much politics has put their thumb on the scale of the data and how that makes people cautious. The sum political weight of people, health organizations, hospital executives, government agencies, media, and the president are unfounded objections.
Zobel understands data, but people make human decisions. Data isn't everything. I think they've admitted to being an engineer, which if that is the case - their symptoms are incurable and we can only hope to treat aggressively.
By the way, I've really enjoyed Zobel's posts on this board and the religion board. I think they add a different backboard to the way this board does fly off the handle sometimes. Zobel could totally be right here. There could be a shortage and that Harris County could be robbing Montgomery of medicine. There also could not be a shortage at all and we all smell a political play.
