Regarding granting permission to land at Kabul Airport, it is important to note that the United States military currently grants or denies ALL requests to use the airfield.

And realistically, it's diplomats above them that make the final decision on requests from allies.

As of right now that is the date the Taliban is standing by.

So how should anyone who came in contact with this info keep their job? Why weren't they pressing the issue of SiV and citizen notification and increased precaution? The whole damn apparatus failed, joe is accountable and should be punished and these yahoos should step aside. Oversight and awareness and they most they could do was create legislation to advance 1/6 awareness?
