You are mistaking me for someone that trusts and believes the msm. They are just as credible as random bot Twitter users. Both things can be true. One of the biggest shortcomings of this board is willingness to trust random Twitter users and bots as factual sources of information and not be skeptical of dubious sources. You can trust almost nothing on the internet anymore.

I believe literally nothing from any media source nor any leftist or neocon politician. How anyone thinks any of these groups would publish factual information after the 4 years of straight lies is beyond me.

I'm at the point where if these people support it then I automatically take the opposite position because inevitably it gets proven that theirs is nothing but lies and that it was done to further the cause of globalism.

This is my biggest concern. I'm really trying to resist the urge to just take the Taliban at their word, but there's so much apparent disinformation being used to counter their narrative that it's hard not to see this as a psyop to discredit something approximating actual progress for Afghans.

Thanks, aggiehawg, good call. Maybe I can redirect my comment above to say that I think we shouldn't be too uncritical of any sources during the "fog of war." There have already been at least two wildly inaccurate tweets in the first few pages that I specifically called out.

Just think we should be a bit more guarded with our emotions while this plays out.
