On the 28th she along with other journalists are in HKAIA, just reporting. So much reporting that they intend on staying. On the 28th.
Then on the first what seems like a week has gone by where she was able to leave A US installation in Doha to head to Tajikistan. But not on the first, that would have been post 24+ hour drive. So she arrived in Tajikistan on the 31st-ish. So her transit from Doha to Tajik was maybe 50-70 hours? And she had the contacts and cash to get through airport in Tajik, through the Afghan border, through Baghlan province (and the fighting there along its border with Panjshir? Not a lot adds up here

I have asked U.S. senators and congressman to help coordinate all these disparate groups, but they won't do it. Our entire government has failed and so the citizens have taken over the foreign policy. It's just outrageous.

That is what I believe made President Trump appealing to so many. Took a stand on issues and backed it up to the hilt, in general he was right. He made mistakes but forged ahead come hell or high water. Quite refreshing compared to the existing political babbling on and on and flip flopping.

Actually fairly intriguing.

On paper, by western ideals, the Taliban would actually be smart to do exactly what they said they would. They won. Not killing off trapped westerners would buy them more goodwill and aid money than any ransom will. The Taliban are vicious warlords but they are not stupid much to my chagrin. And Biden will be the first to recognize them and start sending pallets.

How would that happen? to charge someone under the Logan Act, the US government would have to be in dispute/conflict with the foreign government. And nothing about the way we handed them a country and the equipment needed to establish a military conveys any level of "conflict" with the Taliban. Seemingly our .gov is treating them as the good guys now, so those mercenaries should feel free to negotiate with them all they want.

And they never asked how many American citizens remain in Afghanistan. Based on direct communication, information from families, registered with the embassy but went silent, etc.
how many remain that need to be brought back home?
