Just said it was an employee who shot. 4 people in critical condition, 1 deceased at the scene, and one was transported to the hospital for an asthma related attack. Per press conference with Bryan Police Chief.

EDIT: 4 in critical condition per wbt5845's post below.

The Trooper was airlifted in critical condition. I'd recommend removing the picture of the troopers car. Not sure who you know that took that, but sharing active crime scene photos could land your friend in a lot of trouble.

That photo would have likely been taken behind the tape. When I was in the FD we weren't allowed to share any pics taken behind the tape. I had LEO friends that would occasionally send me stuff, but it was a strict understanding it was not to be shared.

Truthfully, only the PIO was allowed to share any pics publicly regardless of where they were taken

I have a bit of information on this:

  • The suspect was fired from Kent Moore about three weeks ago for bringing a firearm to work. He was not happy about the firing and made sure everyone knew he was disgruntled.
  • He just opened the door and started shooting - no declarations made.
  • Three brothers work there together. One (oldest) just happened to be the first person at the door and is in pretty bad shape. Youngest brother gets shot - middle brother jumps in and rushes youngest to hospital as he's calling 911.
  • They think it could be two people involved but there's a lot of speculation and wild rumors right now.
