You aren't wrong about that. The Veteran's group I was involved with while still living in Florida, their main focus was bringing down the number of suicides in the Veteran community thru a multitude of events and activities that got Veterans out to meet other Vets and build up a social network to fall back on. When somebody reached out or we knew somebody was in a bad spot we'd reach out to find Veterans in the area to meet up with the individual until they were either committed or were doing better. Those calls for actions used to one or two a week, but up until recently when DeSantis finally opened things back up those calls were happening multiple times a day. Felt bad being here in Missouri unable to help other than to be a voice on the phone.

Sad, but good on you for being involved with something like that. There is a halfway house for men exiting rehab down the street from us here in Houston. It's a small apartment complex that was always filled up with recovering addicts and pretty lively. Was sad passing it regularly during the last year and seeing it completely empty. Always wondered how many of those guys prob went right back to where they were before. It's been open for a while now but not many people there

I hope what I heard is wrong but it sounds like the health status of the trooper doesn't sound good.

Isn't that the truth? Take him into custody and straight to the prison courtyard for processing.

Per the police scanner they have the main suspect in custody.

This is a fog-of-war type of information that isn't the case most of the time.

They just said they have the suspect in custody and aren't looking for any more accomplices.

Just saw a dozen LEO vehicles headed north to Bedias

Officer just asked if they can confirm there is only 1 suspect. They said they can't confirm that yet.

So is a really bad central Texas country accent a prerequisite for being employed as a LEO in Brazos County?
