Disagree. Should Nelson be objecting more to the leading nature of the prosecutor's questions? That is objectionable during direct but there is a calculus as to whether it is really damaging and whether the same info wouldn't come in anyway. From the original police report, the two passengers were "known" to law enforcement meaning had past interaction with law enforcement.
The supervisor must not care about his employees.
It's kind of messed up that the manager of the store sent his 18 year old employee to go out and try to get the guy who just broke the law to "please come inside" twice. Especially if they suspected he was high on drugs. That should be his/her job -- or just call the cops right away and let them sort it out.
It's not the severity of the punishment that deters crime; it's the certainty of it.
