That wasn't the claim I'm making fun of. It's not true that all religious people are morons. It's not correlated with intelligence buts there are smart religious people.
The idiot claim that was made was that atheists were morons. This is basically indefensible
Rainman could count cards and memorize phone books. He was still a moron. "The fool says in his heart, there is no God." What's in your heart, Einstein?
Probably something pretty similar to the actual beliefs of Einstein.
Quoting false scripture to people who don't believe it is always funny though
Yeah, you've got a handle on all scripture that is fake. I'm sure some like minded "genius" like yourself has it all researched and proven. It's settled science. Like using 30 observations minimum to compute a valid stat.
Quite a bit of it is settled science. That's the irony. Especially the early OT. And of course anyone willing to take genesis literally- grant those are mostly seen as wacky even on this board.
But you still won't like what scholars have to say about the exodus and conquest.
Yes, King David did not exist and he didn't write the psalms. All your scholars, aka atheist morons, say it's true so you swallow it like a good little militant atheist.
Unless I missed it, I don't see anyone in this thread denying the existence of David or the kingdom of Israel.
He is correct in stating that a literal reading of much of Genesis is incompatible with essentially every field of modern science and history, and I say that as a practicing Christian. The creation account was very clearly meant as allegory. This was the common understanding of early Christian theologians, the majority of whom actual did NOT take it literally. Even the quotes from Jesus in the NT regarding the Genesis references strike an astute reader as rather metaphorical in context.
Strict, literal YEC was a 19th century invention
