Reason. I don't have the ability to make the universe, therefore someone with the sort of power to do so must be supernatural, powerful to a level that I cannot understand. What benefit would creation be to such a powerful creature? None, it must be to our benefit therefore our creator must care and love about us due to his selfless act of creation. How would we be able to know of our creator in his all powerful supernatural nature? He would have to come to us in a form we would understand, a being both God and man at the same time; ie Jesus Christ.
