Bullying has never stopped. It's probably worse now than it's ever been.

I think we can blame this rise of weirdos on the lack of bullying. I think bullying can be a good thing to an extent. Lots of weirdos would be better off if they were bullied as kids and overcame that bullying
THIS x1000
I firmly believe the current climate in public schools and their "no bullying" policies are detrimental to the emotional development of kids. There is ALWAYS a pecking order in any society. How do these kids deal with an ******* boss when they get out of the bubble wrap environment? They have no handle on that. Conversely, bullies need to be put in check too. Too many times, kids do not take up for themselves for fear of retribution from the school.
So, you support bullying "weirdos"? OK, who defines whether a person is or is not a weirdo? Was the crazy Christian kid at my junior high who wore a big wooden cross as a necklace deserving of the bullying he received? Was the dorky Eagle Scout at my HS deserving of being bullied for wearing his weird uniform? Both were tormented unmercifully for being "weird". Guess they should have changed huh?
Life is hard sometimes learn to deal with it

Big fan of bullying
It keeps people in line from veering to far into the abnormal
Or maybe you are an adult bully too?
I'm sure you are extremely badass and no one would dare mess with you.

Was never a childhood bully. Was bullied through most of school.
As an adult... not some much a bully but I am the god of many peoples universe
Yes, I'm pretty badass. 6 ft, 285, bald, epic beard. Not many people mess with me.

It's fitting a 6 foot, 285 pound guy calls someone "cupcake".
It would seem cupcakes are a big part of his life. As are cakes, pies, donuts, and other assorted pastries. But hey he's a nice guy who happens to be a big supporter of bullying. A real peach......... wait, he might not know what a healthy food is. He's a real cookie.

What a cute attempt to deflect. So Texags handles are now an indicator of things? So, I guess we can assume, based on your name here, that you're not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. After all it's spelled "fishing" not "fishin".

Bullying is a natural process that occurs as children learn how to socialize. What often happens naturally is that the kids shun the bully. Or they realize that as a group they have more force than the bully or someone stands up to the bully and the bully loses power or realizes it is more beneficial to be socially accepted than to wield power to hurt individuals.
What happens today is that kids are taught that it is the adult's job to resolve conflict. so the natural socialization patterns can't take place. what happens is that kids who have no predisposition to bully can't learn to stand up for themselves against people who want to dominate them because they believe it is the authority's figure to do so.
the bullies never socialize out of bullying because those they bully are never allowed to defend themselves. it actually perpetuates bullying and harms the socialization of kids and makes kids less capable of confronting such situations.
what they are doing in schools schools the methods the schools are employing to try to stop bullying are doing the opposite and it is bad all around.

This assumes a kid knows who the bully is and that it's just one person. That simply isn't the case a lot of times. Bullying isn't done to your face or in person anymore.

It's a play on words Jackass like the Fightin Texas Aggies, Fightin Texas Aggie band, Fightin Texas Corps of Cadets
I guess that's why Dub Miller was always on Sco Pro

Bullying is alive an well and worse than ever. It's completely different than what most here ever experienced. It blows my mind that so many here feel like there is some perceived benefit to it.
I had a student a few years ago who was bullied relentlessly for being gay (I have no idea if he actually was). He was completely able to defend himself physically as he was quite the skilled boxer. None of that matters when the source of your torment is digital and anonymous. It got so bad he eventually hung himself in his closet. At his funeral he was buried in his boxing gloves.
But please go on about the benefits of bullying.

Such a tough guy. Does it make you feel like more of a man knowing some 12 yo is being bullied because he/she is weird? Pathetic.

Ehhh that's a stretch. Bullying should never be okay. There are plenty of ways to motivate kids to overcome difficulties and be productive human beings.
