Yeah he could've went Democrat, engaged a loose-construction of the 12th Amendment, and thrown the nation into utter and complete chaos.

But if you believe in a strict construction of the Constitution, then you never want to see a conservative go there and define something in a way that would open the door to all sorts of abuse in the future.

Pence has acted as he should have acted here. He stayed with the language of the 12th Amendment as written. He told Pelosi to pound sand on the 25th Amendment nonsense.

He's going to be one of a few in a position of leadership who can walk out of this mess with his head held high.

Trump chose well. He chose far better than his successor has for VPOTUS.
