I'm having trouble getting a read on Hawg lately. Can't tell if she is just messing around or if she has really slipped over in to Pro-TDS land (TDS can be just as virulent in the pro-Trump folks as it with liberals and neo-cons).

There has been a ton of socks and trolls showing up here lately to spike football and do end one dances on things they barely comprehend, so I can understand her frustration and lack of patience. Unfortunately that seems to be the world we are in now, all about trolling and drinking tears and then on to the next shiny object on the Twitter.

Is it too hard for you to believe that intelligent, smart, reasonable people can actually recognize the fraud that took place?

With 20 states suing, you still think that only trolls and conspiracy theorists believe that there was significant malfeasance?

You don't think that is delusional?
Yes. Because I do not believe any of this is done out of genuine concern that fraud occurred. It's done because the Republican Party is so far lost to Trumpism. This is not done out of stupidity, but rather malice.

These state AGs know this is a baseless lawsuit, and they are doing it because Trump's base has a gun to their head. They are doing it to appease them even though they know this lawsuit is going nowhere. The issues Texas complains about were litigated pre-election in these states' respective state/federal courts. These issues were ruled on. Also, Texas is hypocritical because we used emergency powers to change voting rules during the pandemic.

Trumpism has broken the entire party. Can you imagine if any blue states sued MI, WI, PA in 2016 because they didn't like the way those states did their elections? There would be massive uproar. Trump and his people hate democracy, and state AGs are too cowardly to do the right thing and say enough is enough. It's time to move on.

This is sedition, plain and simple.
It's sedition to go through legal and constitutional remedies? I think Trump might have broken you.

"Trumpism" is nationalism. It's America first. It's pragmatism. What is wrong with any of that? Why do we need to cripple our manufacturing to boost China and India? Why do we need to give money to Iran? Why do we need to the government to fund abortions here and in other countries? Why do we need to hire foreigners to take Americans' jobs?

But back to "sedition". Wow. Nothing is being done that isn't 100% legal and constitutional.
A & M, GIVE US ROOM!

You're delusional. In what world are our relationships with allies as strong as ever?? Are you counting our "allies" as Russia and North Korea???
I have to jump in on this one because i didn't see the following expressed.

I've got twenty years in business, the last 7 negotiating international contracts and commercial terms with huge companies. BEFORE that, I was of the thought process that foreign diplomacy with countries like Germany, Australia, and the UK were about relationships that include things like trade, common goals, military, and that these relationships were equitable.

NOW I understand that I was partially wrong. For the last 30-40 years, the US has been treating these relationships like a political game. Some politicians have been enriching themselves in the process because we have so much wealth that the fraud is a rounding error and it makes us look like the good guy to the international community. And some people just want the US to be liked above all else.

The rest of the world does not view international relationships the same way. Every country is different and has different goals, but they are (mostly) all taking advantage of us, slowly bleeding us and gaining domestic influence one step at a time. Some are playing the long game, and boy has it been effective.

While many of these countries, over the past 40 years, have "liked" us, they don't respect us. We are a tool. Trump is the first president to expose all of this and push back. I do think that our relationships are as strong as ever, when viewed through the lens that every one else views them. Equity, competency, and respect ARE strength. We need to begin to understand this and stop wanting to be liked.

Re-Read Buster Ag's reply to you with this question also in mind:>>

Step back for a second and tell me what do you call PRE-ELection `insurance' policy plot, "resistance" never accepting result "scorched earth" at once from Senate Dem Leader, Outgoing admin setting up a surveillance and leak ring, FBI head basically a double agent, `the denied `wiretapping' that turned out true but media tried to make it about the word used' `Russia dossier' 'Investigation witchhunt', the list just goes on an on, and ends in `impeachment for what the Bidens are actually doing' What do you call ALL that for 2017-2019!?! And right out of the gate---they didn't even try to work with President Trump and he is a natural deal-maker.

What do call all that?!

There is a reason wouldn't mind seeing the military put both parties out of power for a term. Whatever you think the Trump admin has done wrong, they did it against admins 10 times more corrupt and self-serving.

Look, we may find out Cruz has been secretly holed up in an office shadow writing the briefs the whole time - it wouldn't be the first time briefs have been shadow written and appears that Trump's was in this case. But, there are hundreds of appellate attorneys who could have written that brief and nothing suggests it was Cruz. But, since you aren't personally familiar with other appellate proceedings, you limit the possibilities to the narrow data sets you're familiar with. That's fine and we all do it to certain extents, but for some reason you can't see that you do it.

I respect Cruz and his background. Since the TX solicitor general apparently wants nothing to do with this case, Texas would be lucky to have Cruz involved. But I'll believe it when I see it.
You are mistaken, I absolutely see that I do it, especially on a field know little of the intricacies about. Your point about narrow data sets is well worded. I mistook your skepticism for an insane ridicule of Cruz. Cruz has made it clear he doesn't believe this was on the up and up and him saying he had been asked to take the case if it goes ahead made perfect sense to work backward to `because he had ghostwritten' it. But all it ever was and remains is playing intuition.

The other factory as your crayon remark points too, is this was so obviously "first line" in write-up from the others it made sense it was distinct. At least reading some of the legal oriented threads Its like comparing 21st MSM liberal hacks on CNN's statements to Gore Vidal's. So that suggested Cruz also. A perfect example of what made me give up on the various strands as incoherent a full week ago, after the call to not vote in GA. I think it was unmade bed's post or bmx bandits - always read them - or yourself that wrote about the stupidity of appealing a decision of a favorable district court on one of the threads. I know enough about the basics to know that was inane with a capital I.

By the way, agree about Cornyn. His record came up again recently. The key to him I think is he is reliably generally Republican but is `bland' and this is mistaken for impotence. He's just a steady eddy.

I'll grant that RINO was somewhat overstated. Cornyn is the quintessential milk toast Republican that has to stick his finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing before he can make a decision. Prototype politician.

If he can't get behind his States efforts to assure the Constitution is followed in this election he should have just kept his mouth shut and let it play out.

  • So YOU above all else KNOW what's in the hearts and minds of hundreds of people in the states joining this lawsuit in some form.

These state AGs know this is a baseless lawsuit, and they are doing it because Trump's base has a gun to their head.
  • "A gun to their head", that in of itself clearly identifies your sentiment and ranting.

They are doing it to appease them even though
  • Again with your all knowing insight into the hearts and minds.

they know this lawsuit is going nowhere.
  • That may be true, but maybe they are doing this because they believe there is enough chicanery and illegally changes to election laws and rules to make this election a joke and prone to fraud.

The issues Texas complains about were litigated pre-election in these states' respective state/federal courts. These issues were ruled on. Also, Texas is hypocritical because we used emergency powers to change voting rules during the pandemic.

Trumpism has broken the entire party.
  • Um, that would be a BIG GIGANTIC NO, did you not notice President Trump received more votes than any Republican ever and down ballot the Republicans gained.
  • President Trump also had one of the highest approval ratings ever in the history of the party.

Can you imagine if any blue states sued MI, WI, PA in 2016 because they didn't like the way those states did their elections?
  • Maybe they feared discovery, I don't know but I can make up conspiracy theories just like you.

There would be massive uproar. Trump and his people hate democracy, and state AGs are too cowardly to do the right thing and say enough is enough.
  • Wrong, Trump and his supporters love our democratic Republic. Your derogatory inflection "Trump and his people" was not unnoticed and shows your utter contempt for the deplorable chumps the elitist arrogant leftist progressives labeled millions of our population.

It's time to move on.

This is sedition, plain and simple.
  • No, sedition was the actions of the Democratic Party leadership in
    • using paid for lies from KNOWN Russian agents to undermine and accuse the President of being a traitor.
    • the Democratic Party leadership lying about the testimony of THEIR OWN WITNESSES in closed hearings, only to be exposed when the testimony was revealed AND EVERY SINGLE WITNESS stated categorically they knew of no illegal activity. Even the liberal lawyer Turley was appalled.

Regarding your editorial "The Biden Contradiction" (Oct. 30): Since entering public service 54 years ago, I have avoided getting involved in partisan politics. While it is certainly fair to quote my criticisms of Joe Biden's record on national security, fairness requires me to note for the record that those comments written in 2014 also noted that Mr. Biden was a man of genuine integrity and character. It is also worth noting that I wrote in these very pages that Donald Trump "is stubbornly uninformed about the world and how to lead our country and government, and temperamentally unsuited to lead our men and women in uniform. He is unqualified and unfit to be commander-in-chief" ("Sizing Up the Next Commander-in-Chief," op-ed, Sept. 17, 2016).

People calling Cornyn a RINO is really one of the ignorant things ever on this board. He is the quintessential Republican.

(And he's probably right about this)

trump supporters here and elsewhere long ago co-opted the term "RINO" to mean "anyone who doesn't fall in line with trump"

idk if there is even a point in engaging in this discussion. I'm obviously not going to change your mind and I can't speak for you on how it will be good for you.

But I wanted Trump to be out of office and never heard from again, to get covid under control and get back to normal, an administration that cares about science and investing in the future, a president who listens to his advisors and doesnt make horribly rash decisions, a president who doesn't appoint unqualified dip****s to cabinet positions based on nepotism, continued efforts to improve our healthcare system, restarting efforts to combat climate change and invest in clean energy, fix our economy and tax system so it's not just benefitting the wealthy and corporations, rehabilitate our relationships with our allies and reaffirm our commitment to the international community, stop kissing the asses of evil dictators, and to have a president who is a decent and kind person who genuinely cares about America and others, and wants to heal us.

However, ignore all of that. Even if none of the stuff above mattered, every single thing Trump has done since the election, to fight democracy, ignore the will of the people, prioritize himself over the country, and break centuries of tradition of peaceful transition of power all for his own disgusting selfish pride... that alone is reason enough to vote against Trump.
LOL - the great healer and uniter Biden telling a factory worker your full of sh**

Oh, is this where we start posting negative videos of either Biden or Trump saying either dumb and/or mean things? At this point, people are only posting things that are more likely to make themselves feel better rather than change anyone's mind. Its just F16 political ping pong (or badminton...if you're into shuttlecocks)
Show me a video where Trump tells a fellow American they are full of Sh**.
You're right, I don't have one of Trump saying those words verbatim. However, I can post a long list of quotes of Trump making disparaging comments about other Americans, include veterans. However, its a long list, so which category would you like: People he loved, hired, then fired? Women? Republicans? Democrats? Disabled?
I think you missed the whole point of my original post, I was responding to the asinine assertion that with Biden, we will have "a president who is a decent and kind person who genuinely cares about America and others, and want to heal us." The truth is, the entire Biden clan is a bunch dysfunctional perverts who have gotten rich by selling out to foreign interests at the expense of America. To try to portray him as "Saint Joe" is a complete joke.
And my post called out both Biden and Trump. I'm not a Biden fan, but calling him a pervert while holding Trump on a pedestal is a bit disingenuous. Sure I'm worried about Biden, but I think it will also be interesting to see if Trump, once out of office, acts in a way that continues to validate (or not) how people perceive him and his caring of America and other people.

That's true. Anyone who does not support Trump (republican, democrat or other) are not true Americans.

Yeah that's it. Stealing an election, NOT seditious. Standing up for your rights, seditious.

My God, liberals are so delusional.
