I found a review he posted on Amazon for a porn video. When I brought it to this board's attention, someone else discovered it had been plagiarized.

He posted on lots of different boards as MFBarnes, it was pretty easy to find him at first.

I hope it won't come across as self-aggrandizing to say that I pegged Barnes as being full of it well before he was outed, and called him on it at the time. You can look it up, but I called him for passing off expertise and content as his own which he had plagiarized. Didn't take much to connect the dots, after those realizations, that his entire persona was a fiction.

I say that because IMO it's pretty obvious that he's still posting on TexAgs under a few different handles. Could be some other sociopaths, but it seems like him. You'll recognize some of the telltale signs if you pay close enough attention.

He's not a master troll, he's a master conman. He's so good at it that he's the best I've ever seen in the entire internet era no matter the website. One other thing I didn't see mentioned.

IIRC, Barnes for years, posted spring/fall practice recap threads on Premium (when the general public generally did not have access to the practices). Always lots of replies on those threads, not sure if blue stars were a thing that far back.

When he got found out, it became obvious he had completely fabricated all of those recaps.

What I don't understand is how people even figure out all of his aliases. How did someone figure out the Twitter account was his?

Been stated earlier on this thread, but it was well known on the Mueller thread that RoscoePColtrane (Barnes)' s twitter handle was RoscoeBDavis. The man admitted as much and would post links to his own twitter.

Scroll up on this page of the thread, there are just some examples of the insane lengths he has gone to. He's also gotten into legal trouble for practicing as an engineer without a license. He's not just an internet conman, he's a real world one too.

He's the scary type of conman because he's so good you don't even suspect he is one until he's fleeced you and has disappeared.

Barnes is a lightweight compared to Q. He likely has a Q shrine set up at his house, to honor the "artistry of the con".
