Quote:

Testing has found Covid-19 infections in the U.S. in December 2019, according to a study, providing further evidence indicating the coronavirus was spreading globally weeks before the first cases were reported in China.

The study published Monday identified 106 infections from 7,389 blood samples collected from donors in nine U.S. states between Dec. 13 and Jan. 17. The samples, collected by the American Red Cross, were sent to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for testing to detect if there were antibodies against the virus.

"The findings of this report suggest that SARS-CoV-2 infections may have been present in the U.S. in December 2019, earlier than previously recognized," the paper said.

So, just like many of us said....damn, I almost....almost get tired of being right all of the freaking time. Political because
..well...COVID's weakass is 100% political now with all of the overhyped bull**** and lockdowns and worthless masks being forced upon the populace.

I kinda think I had it late Nov-Dec last year. Dry cough, sudden chest pain creeped up. Bunch of cardio tests and endoscopy were normal. Blood work was fine. GI doc thought it was reflux.

It was active in China in September/October so no reason to think it didn't get here in November or December.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

The evidence will comtinue to mount on a manufactured crisis as we get more and more health data from 2019 and 2020.

Scary thing is, now China and Globalists know what is possible in terms of Americans willingness to give up individual rights......and how to sway elections.

I'm sure my now 2yr old son had it in Jan of this year. Nothing major, like it has proven to be for children, but he was obviously sick and flu test came back negative with the doctor providing a "Welp....it's some respiratory virus...</shrugs>...keep him hydrated, Tylenol and Ibuprofen for fevers, and call us if he gets worse!".

I am pretty sure I had in Nov 19. Lasted 3 weeks and was the worst I've every felt. All the classic symptoms with high fever and chills. Horrible cough etc.

I'd bet a paycheck that my mom had it in early February. She's healthy as an ox and was in hospital for 5 days a couple of weeks after getting back from a trip to San Francisco. They asked her if she'd been out of the country but no mention of Covid beyond that.

By the way, she spent the first two nights in a room in the ER because the hospital was at capacity. I just say that to note that hospitals regularly run at or near capacity.

Since the beginning of the "I think it was here before they're saying it was!" claim, there was one big moment that a lot of people claimed was the infection point for many places, but our West coast was most apparent. The "war games" in the Pacific that ended up, IIRC, coming to port in Seattle in Nov/Dec of 2019. Not much Trump, or anyone, could do about that.

nope. not much could have been done, and not much was done by restricting travel from china. something like 400,000 people had entered the US since november 2019-trump's china ban. it's comical to think that that was some great move.

And if Obama or Biden had done it, you'd be praising it 24/7.

Especially that last thing. Dems had ZERO CHANCE in 2020 with the economy the way it was going. Introduce the China virus, run around like your hair is on fire, act like the Trump admin handled it poorly, then cheat your butts off to eek out a "win".

AustinAg90:

This is really interesting. I live in Austin too, and as I posted in another thread, I'm a pretty healthy guy; rarely go to a doctor. But the second week of October '19, I came down with something that laid me out for a solid 3 days. So much so, that I went to the med clinic on October 12th around 9:45a CST (thank you Google maps timeline). Tested for strep & flu. Both negative. Went home and continued to feel like hammered dog crap the entire next week. Coughing, congestion, fever on and off, chills. Less than zero energy. No appetite at all. Wife and family begin to worry about me. Back to the medclinic on October 18th around 2:30 (again, thank you Google maps timeline). Re-tested for strep. Re-tested for flu. Negative & negative. Begged Dr. for something - anything - to help me get over it. Prescribed a round of antibiotics saying what I had was likely viral, so anti-biotics won't help, but didn't think it would hurt either. I finally started feeling better the last week in October. Oh, and my wife and one of our sons came down with similar symptoms in November. They too tested negative for strep & flu when they went to the Dr.

So I firmly believe it was here as early as October '19... however, no one knew to look/test for Covid-19 back then/

Assuming December is a reasonable arrival date for the virus... what then is current estimated case count?

We may be near ~100 million US cases by now

It WAS a great move, saved a lot of cases and lives, and was sooner than any other world leader shut down travel and criticized by Dementia Joe until March.

China and the WHO and Fauci were all lying to Trump.

what i look forward to most post-covid is i won't have to read anymore arrogant armchair quarterbacking using the benefit of hindsight.

that and masks. and coronabros. and karens. oh and daily updates and talks of vaccines for a virus with an almost 100% survival rate.

I don't think this is new information. I believe it was always thought isolated cases were here in December with community spread beginning in January.

In late January, my wife and daughters all got miserably sick with high fevers and difficulty breathing. I had a fever and complications in my feet that have never completely gone away. We were all told flu or strep throat. 6 weeks later all of our symptoms show up as COVID symptoms, but when I posted it on the COVID thread, a few busy TexAgs doctors were able to take the time to tell me how stupid and ignorant I was to suggest the virus might have been in Texas in late January.

Well this solidifies my belief that I had it in early December. Fits with my travel through several US airports in mid to late November that have high Asian travel populations.

One of my coworkers was sick as hell last November after returning from spending 3 weeks in China on a project for work. He and the rest of us at work all now believe that he had Covid a year ago.

If Biden were president he would have opened additional doors to let more horses out of the stable so there is always that.
