We fixed the keg said:
1) Make election day a federal holiday
2) Require government issue ID to vote
3) Mandate all votes done in person with limited access to absentee ballots for hardship only
4) Require justification for hardship (out of town/country, serving in military overseas, or physical hardship for disabled/elderly/ill)
5) Simplify, secure, and fix the voting process/systems.
I know most don't share my opinion (fewer each passing election), but voting in person, on election day, is a privilege afforded to us by many who have sacrificed.
Military members retain citizenship in their home of record, which may not be where they are stationed in the US. So vote by mail option for military should apply regardless of whether or not they're overseas. Otherwise, I agree with everything you said.
