It's going to be typical Washington with hearings and "investigations " where nothing ever happens except TV quotes for the hard core base.

I believe an injustice has been done in the name of getting Trump that has seriously damaged our union. It's downhill from here because no one will stand up for what is right anymore IMO.

There's not really anywhere to go, unfortunately. There might be more business friendly countries to flee to, but it would be at the cost of freedom (at least relative to what we have currently.)

The 2020 election was red in every category but president. Trump got cheated.

Stay and fight. The fastest way to losing is to quit.

That's my wife's choice but I told her it's no different there, except we do have good friends in Canberra and housing there is cheap.

Georgia group founded by Stacey Abrams under investigation for seeking out-of-state, dead voters

Quote:

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has launched investigations into several groups, including one founded by former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, for seeking to "aggressively" register "ineligible, out-of-state, or deceased voters" before the state's Jan. 5 Senate runoff elections.

Raffensperger's office on Wednesday said the investigations are into groups including America Votes, Vote Forward and The New Georgia Project which was founded by Abrams and previously chaired by Democratic Senate candidate Raphael Warnock.

Raffensperger for weeks has issued warnings against efforts to register individuals who are ineligible to vote in Georgia's runoff elections or to encourage people to come to Georgia with the sole purpose of casting ballots.

"I have issued clear warnings several times to groups and individuals working to undermine the integrity of elections in Georgia through false and fraudulent registrations," Raffensperger said in a statement Wednesday. "The security of Georgia's elections is of the utmost importance."

Raffensperger said Wednesday that his office has "received specific evidence that these groups have solicited voter registrations from ineligible individuals who have passed away or live out of state."

"I will investigate these claims thoroughly and take action against anyone attempting to undermine our elections," he vowed.

I will look for the rules tonight.

It is done precinct by precinct, and I think in batches of 100.

So, if you have a batch of 100 votes, you are supposed to have 100 envelopes or peoples names that voted in-person tied to those votes, even though you don't know which vote goes to which envelope / person.

If you lose 10 votes out of that batch of 100 for no signature on the envelope, you first try to identify any absentee ballots, which are marked as such as they are filed away. You take those out at random first. If you still have too many ballots compared to envelopes, you take out more at random.

So, the impact should be contained to the precinct that the fraud occurred.

If someone just dropped in 500,000 mail in ballots, you are going to have a lot of ballots with no envelopes.
Regardless of the size of the batches if 100 percent of the fraudulent ballots going in are for one candidate but only 40-60% of the ballots that are removed are for that same candidate then you end up just watering down the fraud, not eliminating it.

This makes no sense. If 100% of the votes in a batch are for one candidate, then 100% of the votes coming out will be for that same candidate. You pull ballots from the same batch of disallowed votes.
I didn't say 100% of the batch. I said 100% of the fraudulent ballots. To be more specific, let's say out of 100 votes in a batch that half (50) were fraudulent ballots for candidate B. Let's also say that of the legitimate ballots candidate A had 30 and candidate B had 20. When you pull things randomly you get random numbers so let's say in one instance 25 ballots from each candidate got pulled in the process of randomly eliminating ballots. That would leave candidate A with 5 ballots and candidate B with 45 ballots.

So in this scenario the person cheating didn't get their additional 50 ballots in but they did manage to move 25 ballots from one candidate to the other. In my mind that is just not a good way to handle it.

Also, in the best case scenario the random selection puts you back at the original numbers. All other scenarios benefit the cheater. Not good.

Because they can...unless you're watching Newsmax, following people on twitter, or on this thread then you have no idea they're cheating so arrogantly. The media is the worst part of all of this IMO.
