Also consider all those telling you to wear a mask are the same people who say it's ok for someone to chop their junk off and pretend to be a girl only to end up killing themselves because despite what those on the left say chopping your junk off will not make you a girl nor feel better about the mental struggles one may be having.

But "just wear your mask bro"

When the experts talked about masks they said they work because the stop bacteria. Viruses are 100s to 1000s times smaller than bacteria. The cotton shirts, bandanas, and those cheap fabric masks made in China aren't stopping the virus. Even the CDC footnoted there is zero evidence a mask works.

Initially why did the CDC and WHO and everyone say masks don't work? Because they know how small the virus particles are.

So why the switch? Because it became a litmus test to how far they can control people.

You're on the left which loves to tout how scientific you all are but you don't even know the basic physical properties of a virus.

I voted for Trump yesterday and straight R. But sure thing. I'm on the left.

I'm not afraid of catching COVID. At all. I wear a mask for one reason and one reason alone. If I do have the virus and I'm not showing symptoms, I don't want to spread it to anyone else. I'd never forgive myself if I was lazy or protesting something so simple and indirectly landed someone (especially someone older) in the hospital.

It is annoying but at the end of the day, the mask is off my face after 5 min in the store.

But you never wore a mask before during flu season. So no, you really don't give a fck about anyone, you just want to virtue signal and spread fear. Most likely because you want Trump ousted.

Unless you commit to wearing a mask every damn year during flu season, you're a hypocrite who needs to keep his mouth shut on the matter. Hth

My apologies for assuming you're a lefty.

Your logic as understanding on the virus and the benefit of masks is flawed.

I'm not going to let the covidians redefine personal responsibility anymore. You make your choices, I'll make mine. Stay home if you don't like it, because I'm not responsible for you risking it by leaving your home.

For months, I had gone out to eat, gone on vacation, gone bowling, gone to the movies, go to the store, take my kids to the park, gone to the beach. Never said you shouldn't live your life.

And sorry the mental health isn't strong for you guys. Maybe see a therapist? I have stayed active enough with work and friends not to have issues.

Just exercised the ultimate in mask rebellion. Wife and I both voted sans mask. Followed by maskless visit to the coffee shop. No one said a word. No one died.

Sounds like your depression is from a lack of community or social. If I'm wrong, I apologize. Simply saying it is a weird time. I still try to get outside every day. Try to call friends every day or meet up with them for lunch once a week. Try to get out of town once a month. Have a movie night with my wife.

I don't let things like politics or masks mess with my mental state.

I went to the grocery story today and bought $200 worth of groceries.

I didn't wear a mask. I might have been the only person in the store without one.

But, I got favorable comments from other shoppers while I was there. I asked one of the workers there where I could find dried peppers for the chili I am making today, and two dudes pushing carts made comments about me making chili.

TL;DT

Go to the store with your mask in your pocket. Most people want you to be a leader. Man up.
Doing the same here in Keller, TX. It's time to start showing overt resistence to the mask insanity.

Had a women at a Keller High varsity football game last night put up tape on the 4 chairs to her right and the 4 chairs in the row directly behind her.

Then when my wife asked about who put up tape (assuming it was Stadium security), she launches into the "seriousness of Covid, how she's a physician, and how people tried to sit near to she and her family without wearing masks". She was mask nazi-Karen. I overwhelmed her with data and facts and it stifled her.

I mean probably until US cases drop below 50,000 per day on average. Or at least drop in my area. I thought that seemed reasonable?

This isn't a forever solution. Suck it up for 6 more months and we'll have a vaccine and can move on.

I go to stores. Go to work. Go out to eat. I'm just respectful of others and I'll wear a mask when I'm in a large group of strangers unless they say it's cool. No skin off my back.
lol except we might not have a vaccine. But if we do it will only be partly effective for those who actually take the vaccine and, of course, many will not take the vaccine regardless of how effective it is.

Yes that is all good advice, but maybe recognize interactions in person even as trivial as with a cashier and waiter can impact someone's mental health. Especially men who tend to naturally be more autistic (voew people as objects) and visual so masks compound the problem of isolation. We are both thinking about others, you just think your care is more valid because it is socially acceptable.

Even if masks go away tomorrow, the psyche of this country is ****ed. The distancing, the fist bumps. The awkward spacing at tables. Just idiocy. It's all irrational fear and it's disgusting how the politicians are digging in on it to fan the flames.

And what sort of mask are you wearing? N95 or better? Put it on properly? Take it off properly? Adjust it properly? Dispose of it properly?

Double layered cloth mask like the CDC suggests on the front page of their website and my wife washes our masks every other day when we do laundry. And we've got a couple each. I wear it over my mouth and nose and try to maintain the requested distance in stores.

Of course that isn't full proof. I doubt anyone is stupid enough to think that. But it certainly is at least 10% better than me standing maskless a foot away from someone in line.

Once again, I don't even fear COVID. If I get it, I get it. 99.9% chance I'm fine. I do acknowledge that people over 55 and those with preexisting conditions can have a rougher time with it. If I can lessen the chance of spreading it a little by taking a step back and having on the CDC recommended mask, why not? It is no trouble to me at all.

It's like if someone asked if we could hold to door open for older people and you were like "hell no *****. Freedom!" Literally the same difficulty level.

Educate this poor sheep. That isn't on the CDC website? There is no difference in standing a foot away from a sick person or 6 feet away? Old people and people with preexisting conditions aren't more susceptible?

Went to the Home Depot in Abilene last week with brother. Signs say no admittance without mask. Brother got to door and had forgotten his and the door nazi turned him away. He said, "Eff that, I'll be waiting at the car."

Went to Home Depot yesterday and saw several walking in with no mask. I've worn one just to avoid the dirty looks that might come my way. No more. My looks probably intimidate snowflakes.

Then when in most stores, I see the old lady wearing a mask who crowds everyone else in line.

Had new tires put on at Discount and they won't drive your vehicle into the bay. You have to do it. Only about half of the employees keep their masks in place.
