I'm not afraid of catching COVID. At all. I wear a mask for one reason and one reason alone. I want people to think i care about others and putting on a mask requires almost no work. Why would I actually donate money, time or effort to improve the lives of others around me, if by wearing a mask i signal to everyone that sees me that i CARE. If I do have the virus and I'm not showing symptoms, I don't want to spread it to anyone else. I'd never forgive myself if I was lazy or protesting something so simple and indirectly landed someone (especially someone older) in the hospital.
It is annoying but at the end of the day, the mask is off my face after 5 min in the store.
Have you ever sped?
Have you ever driven after a few drinks, tired or distracted?
Have you ever played a competitive sport and potentially made contact that could have injured that person in order to win the game?
If you are looking for woke warrior justice points go to Instagram of Facebook.
Speeding = potential ticket
Driving drunk = huge fines and license suspended
I'd rather not have fines or national mask mandates put in place. As long as epidemiologists nationwide say they slow the spread, and the cases continue to rise with people ignoring them, we are going to end up with a national mask mandate. Would rather that not be the case. But you can pat yourself on the back then.
And I do donate time and money to others. Weekly. Wearing a mask is like the easiest thing to do.
