The numbers are fun to glance at but don't really show anything. Need more info like population and registered voter difference from 2016 to 2020.

State site is slow to update. Have to go into the county records.

Harris County even tweeted out their numbers -

"Impressive given only one early voting location." - Sen Leahy.

I was in line yesterday.

A lot of those in line would fit your description. More than half were wearing patriotic clothing.
Nobody ever answers me.....but I always wonder how the average texags right winger would like Boston.

Boston is white. White enough that you don't have to move to some far out suburb to send your kid to good public schools.

Boston is probably the most patriotic, American loving place I've ever been. These people love America because they (rightfully) feel they are the descendants of the original Americans.

Boston is also the BIRTHPLACE of the white liberal. President Obama got 77% of the vote in Suffolk County during the 2012 election.

I don't think the majority of you have ever seen that many white Democrats in one place...... and these are azzhole east coast yankee type of Democrats. Not the type of liberals found in California, or the Pacific Northwest.

Demographically speaking, high turnout in blue counties is not good for Republicans. Unless you think the change in turnout is driven exclusively by R voters, which is unlikely and wishful.
Nobody really knows who is voting and who isn't.

The most Republican voters in the State of Texas live in Harris and Dallas county.

I do a good amount of work in Boston.

In general, I get along with people in Boston, because I don't mix politics with business.

But, in my opinion, there are two kinds of democrats in Boston. There are the labor union democrats, and the crazy leftists. Labor union democrats outnumber crazy leftists by a decent margin.

My experience is that they hold New York bankers in contempt. Boston feels like they get stuff done. They are not so fond of bankers and the like.

So, a very weird feel in my opinion. I put them kind of in the same bag as Colorado. Colorado is blue as it could be for many topics, but when you start to talk about property rights and gun rights, they make Texas look liberal.

Boston is a blue culture, but definitely not west coast blue.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms … disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”

The Bexar County surprised me. I had the afternoon free from work and decided to go try to vote. Went by three nearby locations and the lines were absurd.

Parking lots full, cars scattered for blocks, and the lines wrapped outside the building and down the street at all three locations. Heard from a friend that had a similar experience on the opposite side of town.

Decided to wait a couple of days and try again in the AM.
Travis and Hays county had no lines around 6:30 - 6:45 pm

Truth.

There are two types of Democrats in Boston.

Your far left liberals that are in academia, technology and the arts. and the Blue collar, working class union member who would probably be a Republican in other parts of the country, but in Massachusetts those people never left the Democrats.

Trump won in 2016 because he picked off those sort of voters in the Midwest.

I still believe the average GOP voter who has never left the South (or Middle America) would be floored at the sheer number of white Democrats in New England.

I have a colleague from right outside Providence that I just found out was a far left liberal. This guy is a hunter, gun nut, power lifter and total ******bag. Hardcore Boston sports fan with the annoying accent, and all of that.

I always assumed he was a Conservative voter.

This guy looks like he would fit in on the A&M campus, and there is almost no doubt in my mind if this exact same dude grew up in the South he would be Republican.

Most of the white guys I know that vote lib in Texas are either gay or guys working mid level jobs who envy the rich successful person regardless of color.

Their goal is to bring everybody down to their level rather than better themselves. They idolize sports stars and celebrities and live vicariously thru them. It's sad.

In Harris County they have 10 drive thru voting location which I believe is a first. I do think some of the higher number early votes in Harris County is because of COVID.

Democrats are now the party of the rich and educated.

In 3 weeks you will look at the data of the most affluent counties and regions of the country and those voters will have overwhelmingly voted for Biden.

Trump represents working class white people that live in flyover states and rural areas. Your Roseann Barr and Forum 16 type of voters.

If you look at the poorest, least educated states....they will represent Trump's base, and the states where he has the most strength.

If you google the states that have the highest percentage of residents missing their teeth, they are almost all Trump strongholds.

You think successful people would vote for a guy that's proposed marking to market capital gains at 40%? Do you know how devastating that would be to the market?

Did you poke your pinky finger out when you sipped your cup of tea as you wrote this post?

This country is amazing because of the smart men and women who are getting through the upper middle class with their own businesses in the hopes of making it big. Your "most affluent and well educated" class would be ruling over a third world cesspool but for the hard driving entrepreneurs making things better.

The Democrat party wants to eliminate these people. It's stupid. Cutting your nose off to spite your face.

I'm in Kerr County. We set a record on Monday for early voting with 11.5% turnout, also the highest of any county in the state with a population over 30,000.

And Kerr County is something like 75/25 Republican voters. Reported donations were $100k/$16k Trump/Biden.
