Yeah, the FAA has no jurisdiction over hobbyist aircraft. That was according to the bill that funds the FAA. And yet the FAA went ahead and regulated them anyways. They even claimed the airspace within a millimeter above the grass in MY yard.
Yep, even the new remote ID rules are ridiculous in their extreme. They caved to Amazon and a few other interests who THINK they MIGHT be able to use the airspace... someday, maybe.
And F_A they could offer me a job sitting in boca chica, watching them launch rockets full time at the piddly ass amount I make now, and my boss wouldn't have time to open the envelope before I resigned and headed south. There's thousands of people, all over the country, that would GLADLY monitor them full time.
