Exactly the outcome they predicted. In fact, it went probably better than they thought it would. Elon said himself it was probably going to blow up on landing. They proved not only lift off and stable flight, but also aerodynamics on the return trajectory. Accurate return path. This thing flew great with the exception of apparently a raptor relight. Looked like it was trying to land on one instead of two.

Vehicle landed vertically, exactly in the middle of the landing pad. If a raptor failed to relight it looks like that was the only failure. Incredible display of aerodynamics and control of that design. This is a landing approach that has literally *never* been tried before.

That was the most epic kaboom EVER LOL. They came so close to... looked like a bad relight on one of the engines, all that tea/teb( whatever the acronym is) flame at the end.
