Access to launching polar orbit satellites. That is supposed to be the majority of their future launches and can't generally do that from Florida or Starbase, because it would have the rocket flying over populated areas.

They applied for one million satellites in orbit. At 5 year useful life that's 9 launches every day. Plus one Starlink launch per day. People in South Texas would go from "wow cool, rockets." To "I'm going to murder Elon Musk it is loud all the time." Very quickly.

Thanks, figured there was a strategic reason. Polar orbit makes sense.

Static fire test last night was described as a deorbit burn for upcoming orbital missions. Hopefully suborbital missions are a thing of the past and they can start demonstrating Starlink V3 functionality before the end of the year.

Bigger thing I want to see is orbital refueling operations/experiments. The success of not just Starship, but HLS/Artemis rests upon that, and nobody has ever done it before (that I can think of). They're probably going to need a few tries to get it right.

Tower 1 should be pretty close to ready in a month or so. But I found Elon's comment about 'if we had a tower out at sea in the gulf' pretty telling. I hope we see work on that commence in short order.

This would be cool if he builds a catch tower out in the water just for safety… seems it would be easy enough to just to barge them back to Starbase. Elon, if he has an idea, he can get it done

AI sats, moon base supplies, and refueling trips for lunar missions.

Their AI cluster of 1 million satellites would require ~9 launches per day to sustain. Starlink's 100,000 satellite cluster would require an additional launch per day to sustain. My guess is the remainder will be a combination of fuel tankers and ships headed to the moon. ~10:1 fuel tankers to ship headed for the moon. So two ships to the moon per day? Maybe?

SpaceX has filed paperwork for a 1,000,000 satellite AI constellation. If those have the same 5 year useful lifespan as a Starlink satellite you need >9 launches per day at 60 satellites per launch just to maintain that constellation.

Nevermind the occasional pause in other activities to reenact the Normandy landings with Optimi on the Moon and Mars.

Something that brings a smile to my face everytime I think about moon missions is all of the witches that worship the moon having a conniption over their sky god's desecration by technology. Even though they won't be able to see the robotic army ants parading around their dear Luna they'll know they are there and it will destroy their psyche.

Damn patriarchy disrupting their cycles!

Sorry but I'm not understanding the entire AI satellite uses. But what exactly would 1,000,000 AI satellites (constellation) be needed for? Is there a simpleton explanation of what all these AI satellites would do? Is it for stuff like new satellite based phones? Obviously Starlink is for internet and it's a very good service to be honest

LLM's are transitioning from inquiry -> response to agentic tasks. Meaning you can tell the AI to manage some task and it can perform it for you. That is more demanding from a computational standpoint than the inquiry -> response cycle.

The technology is trending towards anything that can be done on a computer can be automated. It potentially will expand to anything that can be done in the physical world can be automated either through purpose built machines or generalized humanoid robots.

He really looks like he's on something there. Hope not. 319 million shares unlocked today and stock is down toward 130, I picked up a few. Hopefully some good news out about Pecan Island as that is anticipated, though it will inevitably require massive capex also.

The spectrum. So much spectrum.

Not sure why it would take that long unless there are issues with the booster we don't know about. That stinks.

ETA: unpopular take, a mostly stock play for ATT, while merging with TSLA would be really interesting.

From a benzinga update;
Quote:

Wall Street expects Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SPCX) to grow its revenue at a pace that would leave even Nvidia Corp. (NVDA) in the dust and Elon Musk says analysts still aren't thinking big enough.

Ticker Take founder Jon Erlichman shared a chart comparing analysts' five-year revenue growth estimates for some of the world's largest companies. SpaceX topped the list with projected revenue growth of 2,090%. It stood far ahead of Nvidia's 288%, Alphabet Inc (GOOG)'s 140%, Microsoft Corp(MSFT)'s 136%, Amazon.com Inc (AMZN)'s 81% and Apple Inc (AAPL)'s 54%.

That means Wall Street already expects SpaceX's revenue to grow at more than seven times Nvidia's pace over the next five years. It's a remarkable comparison considering Nvidia (NVDA) has become the defining winner of the artificial intelligence boom; while SpaceX is still widely viewed as a rocket company despite its rapidly expanding businesses.

Are Analysts Still Too Conservative on SpaceX?
Responding to the chart on X, Musk wrote, "I think both SpaceX and Tesla will exceed these estimates."
While the comment covered both companies, SpaceX's projection stands out. Analysts are already modeling an extraordinary 2,090% revenue increase over the next five yearscompared with 119% for Tesla Inc (TSLA) and 288% for Nvidia (NVDA).

In other words, Musk isn't just saying SpaceX will outperform expectations; he's arguing that even one of Wall Street's most optimistic growth forecasts still doesn't go far enough.

Read Also: Why Investors Are Suddenly Bullish on SpaceX Again
Analyst optimism stems from Starlink's subscriber growth and the company's push into AI infrastructure businesses that drive future revenue alongside rocket launch operations.

Reuters has also reported that SpaceX expects to reach a $100 billion annualized revenue run rate by the end of 2026.

The next question is whether SpaceX can deliver.

Well, I guess I was wrong. I think Musk wants to skip the terrestrial networks as much as possible.

I don't comprehend how this is possible, but hope to be wrong again. This (the valuations implied/implicated) is also why he doesn't want Starlink to be used for 'noble' military causes in places like Russia or even Iran for targeting; it makes the whole commercial licensing/constellation a legitimate target.

Also why SPCX wants to transition away from government/NRO launches over time.
