The "we're a separate non-profit" is not a good angle for them to take as a large % of the fundraising they do is to augment funding for the U. It is not all spent on former student initiatives, gameday tailgates, networking and marketing, etc.

Regardless, they are part of the whole TAMU entity, and can't hide from that fact. It's not like someone refusing to give to an A&M system school due to the issues, the TAMU AFS is co-equal to the U. when it comes to this IMHO. They may not have any control, but are absolutely impacted by it.

Can you explain this to me? I don't see what any of this has to do with their opinion of us? The only place I find a rivalry with the sips is in athletic competition and the way our athletes are treating the university I couldn't care less about them. So why do we care what they think or how they may "use this" if it's in recruiting or the like I couldn't care less. A kid who would be mad at us shutting down the likes of KM are exactly those I don't want in maroon and white.

It's not about the sips, per se, it's about anybody trying to spin or promote any kind of false narrative about A&M for their own purposes.

We've all heard the ridiculous and unsubstantiated stories about racial attacks and/or epithets towards people on our campus, for one. Every time one of these is brought up it ends up being disproven, but the damage is done. People read the front page salacious headlines, never the page 27 retraction. This is what I'm getting at. Many interests are jealous of our good name, our success, and our resources. Misguided and immature people will do all they can to tear us down. I say don't give them the ammunition.

I agree. I mean, if they weren't affiliated with A&M, how are they getting our information and why would be donate to them? You're right, stupid angle from them although I am not sure what their other options might be.

I guess this is the kind of thing that the Association helps fund....along with $100 million in "diversity" efforts.

Obviously I am not ag, but I love This. I can't wait for the Texas Exes and their begging call to come. I am going to tell them to drop dead. They can hate : whitey, straight whitey, euro whitey, Christian whitey and America all they want but they won't get a dime from me. I used to love my old school, but the university of isis at austin can go F itself.
