Instead of coming on here and bragging about how you let a young girl of class of '23 know how you feel about A&M, how about you call the Association and speak with someone higher up and explain your position to them.
I get it, not another dime etc, but really? Young girl working her way through A&M and think your $$ means anything.
I hear you, we all don't want to be uncomfortable, and especially our kids being uncomfortable. But look at it this way-- that class of '23 is learning valuable lessons, like rejection, how to stay calm, and the customer is always right-- things kids who take 9 hours and head home to watch video games do not do. Its not construction jobs like maybe we did and helped make our minds up that we wanted to get an education, but it is a job, and she maybe is learning a thing or two-- like maybe if there are a lot of Ags that think this way, maybe they are right and I will look into it, rather than saying, "oh these guys are bunch of racists". Her goal ought to be to work out of fund raising and complaint department to something else. Maybe, just maybe, she will understand and her first pay stub with all those deductions ought to be teaching tool as well, she is financing those who Ags are complaining about. She is just like the student who has to take the crappy enchiladas back to the kitchen, and all kids ought to get a dose of it.
