This was the most disconcerting thing - one of the guys mentioned that his friend group thinks very highly of Alvard.
The leadership at A&M is completely worthless then.Anti-taxxer said:TexAgs91 said:
I find it really hard to believe that just because you're tenured you get to do whatever the **** you want without any consequences.
Pretty sure he's not tenured.

Then the same guy comes up and questions officers onsite.
The same guy posts and points out when additional cameras were added at the crime scene.
The same guy shows up to multiple protests and gets arrested at the crime scene.
The same guy starts leaving notes at the crime scene.
The same guy comes back drawing with chalk all over the same crime scene.
The same guy makes almost daily treks on his bicycle to the crime scene.
The same guy uses pseudonyms and aliases on multiple social media platforms to talk about the statue and crime scene.
I might just put that guy at the top of my list of suspects.

SIAP, but why do we not have a security camera on Sully 24/7 and the surrounding plaza until this vandalism crap stops? It's not like it would be expensive and/or technologically difficult.
Obvious answer is they don't wan't proof or to discourage these clowns, but I would like to give the benefit of the doubt and have someone explain why this didn't happen weeks ago.

I do not know if they are still there but they had multiple portable surveillance cameras onsite after the FELONY vandalism.
EDIT and one of the replies is Mr Alvard

You need to get him in the picture to have any chance of a report having even a dent of an effect.
Whats the angle with the Corps?
This. You have to take a video or perfect quality picture of him placing it or it will have zero effect. If you can do that, F16 can put it out there. We need the proof though.
I am an eye witness to it, can describe what he was wearing and some other details but I don't think he was doing anything illegal or probably even reprimand him. He left it at some other places as well, pretty much any major A&M statue/monument so if you're walking around campus go ahead and grab it.

They have them. More now. They got video of the guy when he vandalized the statue.
I'm sure professor chalk was out for his stroll after his atheist meeting.

The university issued a full on statement of condemnation of Divisive words on a piece of paper (that turned out to be a self perpetrated hoax). They should be equally as passionate about one of their loser professors sowing division in this fashion and infecting young minds with his racist tripe. This guy has no business teaching students and getting paid by our university to spread his diseased ideology.

Do the students have no mind of their own? Were you as impressionable as you make his students sound?
Littering is illegal. It would be fun to follow him and pick up every card he leaves immediately.Nonregdrummer09 said:DisappointedAg said:titan said:

Silence is implied consent. I can understand the University's concern at potentially making a martyr of him at the moment, but he should have been gone long ago.Rick Burns said:TexAgs91 said:Un-tenured? WTH A&M? Fire him nowagent-maroon said:TexAgs91 said:

Even harder to believe that he's an un-tenured 61 yo associate professor that's been wandering the halls of A&M for some 20 years and he gets by with it.
Why does this hack still have a job with a university that he clearly hates when he contributes nothing of value to the collective knowledge of academia? Nothing, I repeat - NOTHING - of value.
The biggest problem, again, is the people who have the power to fire him implicitly agree with his tactics.
