Has Roland Martin ever heard of integrity?

Actors,journalists, athletes and two bit politicians have had it pretty easy, and they get their strokes from adoration and fan worship. They are facing an unknown future without those strokes, and of course have never been taught how to deal with adversity. ( yes black athletes are coddled, spoiled, when they get to campus) . Now they don't how to deal with anything but to get mean about it and actually bite those wanting to help. So we get this upheaval.

Meantime instead of possibility of losing lots of all I own, I am trying to figure out a way to fix it- and it is no ones job but my own. I

Roland has a pretty good show. He delve into this pretty well. I'm afraid Sully staying or going is like people's view on abortion it is going to be hard to change people's mind.

I do remember he came to Coach Slocum's defense and Aggies in general in an editorial years ago (was Slocum accused of being racist I can't remember).

I also remember him challenging McCain or Romney to learn more about black culture and history and he had piled up a bunch of books for folks to read that were quite informative. He did this on his TV show.

On one level, I'm kind of okay with the latter part.

Right now, the athletes have nothing at risk, and are behaving like spoiled children.

If this is such a righteous cause, they should be willing to lay a little something on the line.

When you start off claiming LS Ross was the first president of Texas A&M, it's hard to pay attention to anything else you have to say.

Have only made it about 16 minutes in, and now he's whining about how people were upset that legacy was not going to be a factor in admission during the Gates presidency.

yea I was there for that. Col. Toler changed it, actually he changed it when Ole Miss was in the news about Dixie. The swapped out Dixie in the Blue-Grey medley with When Johnny Comes Marching home. In my time, the FTAB never played Dixie, it was part of Blue-Grey medley.

I about bailed at that point too. when he drug in BLM into the discussion.

My memory is that it was just a few points, and only effected maybe a few dozen kids on the bubble. You got more admission points for being the first in your family to attend college.

I saw the point, to avoid charges of racism as we did not do affirmative action, but it was stupid.

All other things being equal, who is more likely to succeed at A&M, someone with no college degrees in the family, or a 2nd generation Aggie?

Exactly right. And who's more likely to be a loyal contributor to A&M, rather than trying to tear it down from the inside- 2nd/3rd gen Ag raised with maroon glasses, or a kid that just came because they were bribed with a "diversity" scholarship?

Someone needs to really push back on him on what was said earlier. He was a student and alumnus for several decades. He had had a high profile job in the media for long time. Why is it just now that he is making this stand. Is he being used by the woke mob.
