I could see this as Trump and Bolton leaking this morsel out there in order to entice the Democrats to make the trade they are scared to make. Bolton for Hunter as a witness.

Do you think they will fall for it?

I enjoy watching each side fight it out.

The Democrats are crafty but Trump does give them plenty of ammunition.

There will be witnesses and ...get this....I think the Democrats will keep the Bidens out of this. Republicans have always been a little slow when it comes to figuring what is going on.

....I could give a crap who wins, I think Trump is going for all the marbles as in taking over the country but if he doesn't do it, the other side will. Either way we r in trouble...the world owes 230 trillion dollars...that ain't gonna last.

The ones that sit-out, kind of like war profiteers, are some of the most annoying. Because by them taking a stand they can impact the balance, and so it matters when they do not.

The problem is that Biden (either), Ciaramella, Vindman, Atkinson, etc. etc. would all either plead the 5th, refuse to answer, or "not recall" when asked.

I didn't say anything alleged was an abuse of power. But this testimony clearly relates to the first article.
What does that even mean? Either it is an Abuse of Power or it isn't.

His testimony is a matter of ExecPriv, which only the Courts can determine, not the Senate.

But even abuse of power isn't a crime. In fact, the Founders specifically excluded it from the definitions. Cruz has explained this. They in effect sent up articles for invented offenses, not crimes.

Bolton: " Yes, Trump wanted to make Ukraine start an investigation into the Corrupt Biden's in return for the aid. So we started to do that until we got caught. "

What are you talking about or quoting? There was already an investigation! Your President was asking another elected head of state to get his guys to help with that investigation (please)

TRUMP WAS NOT ASKING ANYONE TO OPEN AN INVESTIGATION!

Yes he was. And he knew it was wrong. which is why he keeps denying it. Trump is screwed, and it's his own fault.

Just curious as to what goes on in the mind of someone who thinks that framing a political opponent via extortion using taxpayer dollars is wrong.

So you think Hunter Biden was a natural resource genius worthy of a 6 figure per month salary?
It doesn't matter. This is America and if you're running for office you and your entire family are off limits to investigations of any type of crime. That's the dem's argument, right?

Meeting someone at an event, even having long conversations with that person, does not mean you "know them."

I've sat and talked with Bill Flores, but I don't know him, and he would not claim he knows me.

You don't understand how testimony relates to something vs being dispositive of the issue?

I saw OJ creeping around behind the guest house late at night doesn't mean he is guilty of murder. It relates to the charge

In an impeachment, the senate is the court.

If senate votes to hear it & Bolton wants to testify, how do you think Trump could stop it? Please explain the process.

I don't know if they're trying to entice him but I bet his testimony would be less expansive than what's in the book. In the book he can speculate and stretch. He cannot, or at least shouldn't, giving testimony.

Either way I don't give a damn. I don't know why the Trump team has run around trying to deny a Qpq in the first place. Should have said yes they were trying to make sure the corruption was being addressed before releasing the aid and if that included Burisma/Biden so be it. As long as the demand wasn't solely for political gain (which can never be proven one way or the other), no problem.

True. Maybe. Here are the two possibilities:

1. He knows who he is well and is lying about it
2. He takes geopolitical advice from shady dudes with Russian mafia ties

It reveals he's unfit for any office, he shouldn't be a small town mayor.

So the NYT lies again and Maplethorpe is wrong yet again. It never gets old. Anytime one of these fools posts their gotcha lies, it always blows up in their smug, zit-pocked faces.

Doubt it. He might not be president in 3 weeks.

What it boils down to is this: Look at the two articles-- neither one alleges a crime, they don't even allege violation of a civil crime. If you even think of convicting or removing the President, the CinC over a `no-crime' in such an absolutely partisan environment with the country divided, the govt itself is a fraud.

But the headlines sound bad, which is all most people read and the Democrats count on.

This is the media's favorite way to lie. Put out an inflammatory headline, and then the article has no substance.

Guessing this is a ploy by NYT to assist the dems in getting Bolton's testimony without the pesky necessity of testimony from the Bidens, the "whistleblower, Schiff, etc.

This is the same thing as the nonsense in the Mueller report.

Trump spitballing ideas with advisors such as asking Mcgahn if he can fire Mueller or talking to Bolton about holding aid to Ukraine are TALKING not doing.

I know. But what said above still stands. If they remove a POTUS for a non-crime, even not even civil, system needs to be rebooted. The media simply serves the Left. They are just one half of that 50/50 split.

Well he is a known war-monger, but Trump may have wanted an example on each side---a hawk to balance the non-interventionist element in his WH and own character?
