Are you making a case that leadership in Iran has been shown to act in a logical manner and according to Western norms?

As another has pointed out, the cases in Iran could very easily (and I contend likely) to be a misdiagnosis at best but just as likely they are just throwing out numbers.

But in an abundance of caution and following on the hysteria this thread tries to create, I euthanized all my dogs this morning. We had Chinese food last night and then the 14 yo Boston Terrier sneezed twice. Has to be COVID-19. Simply no other logical explanation.

All three of the latest confirmed patients had contact with camels, the most common source of the virus

Camels will be issued with LICENCE PLATES in Iran after an increase in road accidents

Camels will be issued with licence plates in Iran in a bit to curb road traffic accidents.

Nearly 100,000 of the animals have already got their personal registration numbers and 35,000 more are to be issued during the first phase of the scheme.

Iran is about to explode. They are doing the same things as China. This guy thinks they have several thousand cases already.

Guess this confirms it's not just an Asian ethnic issue.

evacuees where not taken to Washington state, the first corona virus patient was in Washington. There was a # of quarantined people at a motel in WA. I bet those are the people that he infected.

Here is WA state department of health page on Corona, last updated yesterday. I'm curious what today's update will be. 779 people isolated. 26 tested, 24 negatives, 1 pending

I don't. I just post information I find elsewhere on other forums. It's like crowd sourcing information.

I don't know why you are choosing to ignore the gathering evidence that this thing is a big deal when you don't do the same for "white genocide" despite the signs of that being a lot more subtle. You talk of conspiracy theories here yet in other threads about globalism and elites you mention white genocide. I agree with you on that but that's an interesting level of cognitive dissonance you have going on.

Some of the evacuees that tested positive are most likely being transferred there, as it is one of only 10 hospitals in the U.S. that is equipped to handle this type of infectious disease.

One thing to consider concerning US cases.

I saw an article today that up until recently, there was (understandably) no ICD-10 code for COVID19 testing.

So, in order to bill insurance, they probably had to code it as something else. When you do that, it makes it hard to get accurate counts.

Now that the new code has been created, we may start to see actual hard numbers in the US.

This is actually a really good point that people should keep in mind. While custom build in EMR software could be used to get around not having an ICD-10 code for reporting purposes, most healthcare orgs were most likely tracking things manually before the ICD-10 code was released and imported into their systems.

It's certainly possible that some numbers have fallen through the cracks, although I would think that the CDC has pushed protocols for isolating any patients suspected of having it.

That is not the question....

The question is would they tell the public the patient had infected others?

...But seriously the military is already involved in the transport and habitation of "suspected cases." Do you really think we know what the truth is in regards to those quarantined?

See that box in the back of the photo?

That's a mobile quarantine unit and was used to isolate anyone showing symptoms or who had tested positive at that point.

This article feels like nonsense - at least one of those isolation units has been on each flight returning from that part of the world. Everyone was told what is was for. Even if for some reason they weren't, if they were too stupid to figure it out when they saw it, who cares what they have to say about it?

That likely means the others are also from the evacuees from China, or the cruise ship.

This is the first time their special pathogen unit has been activated. They train quarterly for incidents such as this.

They are only getting 4 patients for now. Unit has 10 "beds"...

As we were talking about on page 85 or something... They are now claiming aerosolized transmission is more prudent than previously thought.

http://www.xinhuanet.com/english/2020-02/19/c_138798935.htm
Quote:

BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) can be transmitted when someone was exposed to high concentrations of aerosol in a relatively closed environment for a long time, according to the country's health authorities.

The respiratory droplets and close contact transmission are the major routes of the coronavirus infection, according to the latest version of the diagnosis and treatment plan issued by the National Health Commission and National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Wednesday.
The aerosol transmission was newly added in the plan, which has been updated to its sixth edition.

The aerosol transmission refers to the mixing of the virus with droplets in the air to form aerosols, which can float for long distances and cause infection after inhalation.
The new plan also suggested recovered patients to stay at home and avoid close contact with other people for 14 days to reduce the risk of infection with other pathogens.
Recovered patients shall visit a hospital for health checkups in the second and fourth weeks after being discharged, said the plan.

A total of 14,376 people had been discharged from hospital after recovery by the end of Tuesday, data from the commission showed.

COVID-19-infected patients in severe conditions may also suffer from "multiple organ failure," added the plan.

How does that latter tweet indicate that the military or CDC is lying to us about the number of quarantined people? I've missed a couple of steps in your logic.
Going back to your initial post, I would argue that people that have been in contact with known infected patients have been told to "self-quarantine" ...Thus, the true number of patients "quarantined" in the US is unknown. However, the isolated patients under military control are. That is my argument.

Story yesterday said it is around 5,700.

The vast majority are people who came back from China on their own (most weren't even in areas where the virus has been active), but anyone returning from China is automatically assumed to be at risk.

A small number are people who came into contact with someone who actually had the virus in the US.

And he's been leveraging tariffs to get better trade agreements. So now everyone is seeing the weak links in their supply chain for goods produced in China.

I'm hoping there is capacity or potential capacity elsewhere in the world for things like drugs which are necessary.
